Will the premier truck for this DLC be the new Western Star truck?

I doubt it, but... both Colorado and Wyoming DLCs were preceded by new truck and new trailer type presentation. We just received the cisterns, so... time to have a truck!

It has been nonstop news EVERYDAY for this trucking game!  How is that possible?  An it isn't even new ETS news, it's all ATS!  How are they doing this?  lol.  I love coming here because there's always news for me to catch up on!  You guys do great!

Western Star To Reveal New Truck August 2nd

This lands very close to the release date of Montana DLC (August 4th). Will the premier truck for this DLC be the new Western Star truck?

It has been nonstop news EVERYDAY for this trucking game!  How is that possible?  An it isn't even new ETS news, it's all ATS!

It’s possible because the developers are very generous with information about the updates. They are not people who make only two kinds of posts: a release date announcement and a release itself, plus, probably, some posts with community events or concepts. With that attitude the number of posts could be reduced to one or two in a month, instead of 12 in recent years .
(notice how the number of their posts reduced after ETS2 release and slowly increased after ATS release )
So, the most of posts in this topic (that site is officially moved from Ponies to Trucks, if judge by the number of views )

are the fresh news discussion, instead of sharing the game experience or thoughts about kangaroos in Salzburg.
Also, there is a big chance to expect 1.45 release for ETS at 28th of August.

I love their generous blog posts, but they also share a lot of news on other platforms too.  Whomever is in control of their social media is a busy fellow.  Very excited about the 1.45 release for ATS and the new truck coming soon.  We also got a WoT event coming with Montana!!!

Not as much for ETS2, but the 1.45 update will come out any day now too.

I have a question.  If you complete all the special transports or heavy cargos, is there some special Steam badge or anything?

There are only several achievements in Steam, for both games.

(not only Special Transport, but Heavy Cargo Pack DLC also have some achievements)

Achievements and badges mean nothing to me.  I was hoping someone might say it unlocks something special in game, lol.  Thank you.

As I remember, only participating in some WoT events can unlock something in the game, like additional main menu backgrounds or hidden toys for cabin decoration .

I see in those latest photos from Yellowstone, SCS has changed the color of the Montana Highway Patrol cars.  Instead of the state's traditional black and gold, they are now white with a blue badge. This design was to mark the 85th anniversary of the MHP.  I hope SCS knows they only did that to a few cars and not the whole fleet.

Here is a brand new patrol car still wearing the traditional black, but featuring the new MHP logo on the door.

Pretty much it's been nonstop news every day here.  I love it!

Anyone make it to Cody yet?  I'm working my way.  Driving from New Mexico to deliver a load in Gillette.... close enough.  I will get there.

I have not found the delivery directly into Cody, so for doing that screenshot with a girl looking at my trailer I took an order from Gillette to Primm (rerouting it through Cody gave me only about 300 additional miles, not a big deal).
Also, I found out that Huron (the only point not discovered by me with this year’s profile. Until today) is not popular destination point — last time, for my container carrier, there were no cargoes to Huron from the whole map! So, as with Cody, I took a delivery with a route close to this settlement.
