It just hit Netflix this week. Looks like I know how I'm spending
my Saturday night.
Been bingeing the
Garfield and Friends channel on Pluto TV for the last few weeks and, I gotta say, even after thirty years a lot of that humor still holds up mightily ("
Cash and Carry", "
Kiddie Korner", "
The Record Breaker"). There's been talk, too, for some years of doing some new
U.S. Acres cartoons, but for one reason or another it never comes to much... and, frankly, it wouldn't be the same without the incomparable Howard Morris.
I tried doing it myself, but my voice comes out sounding more like
The Simpsons' Prof. Frink having a stroke.
Oh, man, if only they'd made
this comic into a
Quickie.
