Oh! Ther WAS a discussion about Equestria girls! I need thicker glasses... I swear i went through ALL pages and didnt find the discussion, i'm so blind.
But I love the idea of them in human form as in other universe! And the designs are really nice, they look so cute and still have plenty of details to keep their ponyself sort of visible

Well, there was not so big discussion about the EqG on this forum. A lot of people don’t very like their design (I partially agree with them , but there are some eye candies for me), and the main show is still much more popular. Although Rainbow Rocks was a real hit.
But this forum has a lot of artwork with EqG characters .

BTW, did you notice how they probably invented the typical 2018– phone screen shape five years earlier?

Pretty true isn't it? And yeah I do agree the discussion around EQG isn't nearly as huge as the normal pony one is. But that's to be expected. It's pretty much apples and oranges for a lot of people. Personally I loved and still love EQG. Sunset Shimmer is a hilarious character to watch and not to mention great material for stories as is evident by the two I wrote for this place. XD

You can see a lot of artists REDESIGN the EQG style to a more appealing style in their eyes.  Most reduced the size of their super tall legs and didn't make them all so thin, also aging them up.


Part of the reason for EQG's lesser success and discussion was it's lack of it being a regular series and no set schedule for new episodes.  It was so random being an online program, sometimes a tv program, sometimes regular length, sometimes a short, sometimes a tv special.  It never made much sense and should have been a full on tv show similar to MLP:FiM or any other show and follow that format in length and schedulability.

They needed better organization thats obvious. I feel it would have been good as an online series but in regular show episode times. Thats just my theory.
