Ugghhh.... not really what I like.  I don't like cgi-live action films.

Did not expect a Minecraft movie. I heard rumors and hoped they weren't true.

I mean I'd be fine with one if it was ALL animated, but I don't like the real human element to it.  Tell us the story of Steve as he builds up his world around him, makes friends with villages, and tries to save the world by fighting the end dragon.  Add to the lore... don't do... whatever this trailer was.

Why not have a more slice of life thing instead of the constant "save the world" movie plot?

Better notion: why not just spread the film's budget out and do another season? There's tons of old forgotten LT/MM characters, plus unassigned shorts and unproduced ideas, to work with.



I've always been a fan of the old "travelogue-format" shorts, myself.

Apparently, if I'm not being deceived... Warner Bros is making a movie adaptation of Minecraft.
I can't believe they're actually going through with this, but making it a live action movie? Not a smart move on their part if you ask me.

Hmmm.  I think if Minecraft had to have a movie... this is not how I would go about it.

It looks honestly terrible.  If it's a children's film, where are there also two swear words in this teaser? What the heck?

The movie is clearly aimed towards Minecraft kids.  They will probably like it.  It's not meant to ALL Minecraft fans.  I personally love the idea @RainySunshine had.

The fact that Mojang and WB worked ten years on this... well that's appalling.

This IS a much better idea. I would love to see that.  Maybe fighting the end dragon is also a way for Steve to get back home (which we never see).  In the end he has a choice to stay or go home through a portal.  The film goes black and ends before we see his choice.

This trailer looks awful.  Oh my word.  It's worse than anything I could have expected.  The CGI looks horrible mixed with the live actors too. The strange use of swearing in a children's film too... Odd.

I just had a horrible thought about the Minecraft movie... Apologies if this turns you off to the movie even further than the trailer has, but the thought in question: they might have CGI villagers.
