What the heck?  Disney's whole thing is animation.  No one cares about their other crap they've made the past ten years.

This new Disney movie, STRANGE WORLD, looks so forgettable and cookie cutter.  I predict it will be a complete flop.  None of the characters flow or look like they are from the same IP.

^ Lol!  You called that like a month early.  It not only flopped, it imploded!  In the first 5 days, it only garnered $24 million against a budget of $180 million.  I mean even just the premise and all the ads made it looks terrible.  None of the characters even looked like they came from the same movie, it was so mismatched.  It truly looked awful.  According to Variety, they expect the film will lose $100–147 million.  Ouch.  The film is also currently averaging a rating of 5 out of 10 stars.

I didn't know until reading articles, but apparently Disney was being woke with this movie too, trying to be inclusive for everyone include gay leads, and a handicapped dog? Okay... who cares Disney?  Just work on making good stories and the characters will fall into place.

Disney's been doing so horribly lately that Bob Chapek is out as CEO, and Bob Iger's back in.

(in bad David Spade voice)  I liked this movie the first time I saw it... when it was called "Atlantis: The Lost Empire."

(normal tone) Honestly, If I have to do that for any more lousy films this year, I'll have to start paying Spade royalties.

Atlantis was a good movie.  It seems like whenever Disney tries to make an action movie, it does poorly.  I guess parents want more colorful, family-friendly vibes from advertising. I haven't seen 'Strange World' but it really does look pretty bad.

I haven't seen it either. From what little I've seen from the trailers it looks interesting. But they did not advertise this movie well at all.

Dreamworks dominated 2022 over Disney in terms of animation.  They made way more money in the box office and had both their films be huge hits.  Disney... well, they produced woke crap no one wanted to see and bother their films were box office blunders.

Wish is getting mixed reviews.

Wish was released alongside Napoleon, and was projected to gross $45–50 million from 3,900 theaters over its five-day Thanksgiving opening weekend. The film made $8.3 million on its first day, including $2.3 million from Tuesday night previews. After Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, projections were lowered to $35-$38 million, citing lack of social media marketing, divided word-of-mouth and a decline in Disney's reputation as a positive brand name for family entertainment as the reasons.

51% of 138 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 5.8/10.

The first weekend, the box office was $49 million.

Now it has a 50% among 149 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 5.7/10.
