Pixar has released the teaser for their new film, LUCA.  It goes for a more stylized cartoony approach.

It looks cute and cheerful.  I will say I was shocked by the twist in the teaser, can't say that part excites me as much, but I do like the style.  It's very cheery and happy and looks like it could be a fun tale of a story!

Colorful and pretty neat looking scenery and town.  Doesn't even look like a Pixar project.

Soul comes out Dec 25 still... Hmmmm.

Soul doesn't interest me based on the adverts. ..I lost interest.

[doing a bad David Spade imitation] I loved this movie the first time I saw it... when it was called Coco.

Did you know they have a Soul dog toy? It's a chewy plaything for pets shaped like that guy's cat--a flesh-and-blood cartoon kitty on one side; turn it over, there's a cartoon ghost cat on the other. Very strange movie tie-in... yum, yum, here ya go, boy, chew on a cat.  I guess they had to be damn careful: if they marketed chewies shaped like a cartoon black man, someone would be bawling systemic racism....

That is a very strange sound dog toy.

Pixar has apparently been selling pet toys for awhile.

I think it's colorful and pretty. Probably just the kind of happy, silly film the world needs right now.

This is an interesting video on Pixar's movements and rigging.  It made me appreciate what they do so much more.  I learned things I never knew about or thought about.  They have to do so much.

Official trailer has dropped for LUCA!

It looks like an innocent, fun movie.  More cartoony style.

It looks quite promising.  No the typical Pixar style of character, more generic actually.  But I like the setting from what we see.

It reminds me of a Sony styled animation akin to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

The Dad reminds me of the Dad from Cloud with a Chance of Meatballs.

This new film is having a lot of drama come about.  Many are claiming it is a "coming out" film of two budding lovers.  Pixar and the film's creator claim it isn't and people are making it up.

Nonetheless, this film now has baggage that will make people hate it just because of an iota of uncertainty now.

If these claims are unfounded and turn out to be untrue, it isn't fair for the Pixar crew who worked on this.
