I must say, the Krone electric trailer (what a silly concept) works good.  It has power to the rear wheels and helps propel your truck to speed much faster.

Also Arkansas is AWESOME.  Much smaller and better than I was expecting.  it's packed.

It’s more advanced and realistic way of flintstoning the truck.

I'm going to make a prediction.  The northwest corner of Arkansas is very busy already, but I think they are going to somehow squeeze and add Bentonville in there someday.  Bentonville is the headquarters of Walmart, the games Walbert company.  When they add Missouri, my guess is Arkansas will squeeze in Bentonville above Springdale to they can have a big distribution headquarters for Walbert.

Today it’s common for the new states to get some upgrade before adding a new state nearby. The northeast corner of Texas is the most prominent example.

I did notice in the Mack Pinnacle stream... they hinted at dirt and dirty trucks. Such as trucks getting dirty when using them. I wonder if that is the secret announcement?  They have truck wash locations in ATS.  Not sure about ETS2, I don't remember any.

That is a good guess.  My guess is it is a test map where they are testing seasons or different types of weather.  Maybe a transition from fall to winter with snow?  But that is a very ambitious idea.  Your dirt idea makes much more sense.

@NostradamusTheSeer's stomping grounds have been immortalized.  "I wonder how accurate it is," I hear you asking!  Well I looked at the in-game version to the the Google Street view images and I would say, it's pretty accurate.  They even have us driver out of Blytheville, take a corner near a community called Armorel, and continue on to the steel mill. SCS used the town because of the massive steel factory at the east end of town, near the Mississippi River and north of the unincorporated community of Tomato.  I'm not making that up.  It's called Tomato.

The game also had some major patches that haven't been announced yet.  There was a nearly 17GB patch to ATS and a 25MB patch to ETS2.  Not sure what it was.

Oh, yes, I've mentioned Tomato before, I believe, waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back at the old AJM forums. Man, it's been a while. The town's name came, according to history, from the suggestion of a shopkeeper's daughter who happened to have a tin of tomatoes in her hand at the time. I then speculated as to what on earth they were looking at/holding when they named the little town of Weiner, which sounds like the setup to a rather crass Family Guy-esque cutaway.    :o  :-0   :-[

So my town's been immortalized in a video game of some sort, eh...? Can you gamble in this game? Take Exit 277 straight to Southland Casino and visit the loosest little slots in the [Doofenshmirtz voice] whole tri-county area!!  [normal tone]  Also great places nearby to buy new tires, hire an attorney, and get a clean room with a comfortable bed at reasonable nightly rates.

If something as important as a town name can be so meaninglessly named from a girl holding a can of tomatos... that makes me very sad.

If I got time, I will snap some pics with real pics side by side for ya.

I agree with one of comments which says that all multiplayer users should pass the driver exams ;D. So, this driving academy will make the Scania Truck Driver Simulator obsolete (except for ones who is nostalgic for the ETS graphics from 2012). Notice how cautious the developers are — not only the «health hazard» warning before the startup screen (added in the current patch), but even a warning that *TS is not a certified training program (look at the top of the screen) ;D.

As for electric trailers, I have made more than 15 deliveries with them, mostly around Switzerland or Balkans.

The additional power gives more fun at the mountain roads, but for now this trailer is not really profitable due to short route length and smaller cargo weight — the powered axle and batteries give additional five tonnes to the empty trailer (for example, my latest cargo has 22 t for normal Dry Liner and 17 t for eDry Liner). So, the primary source of my income were money earned by hired drivers — sometimes they give more than 50 thousand dollars, and today I got the biggest number I remember (not a shameful $6 I have seen a week ago).

Truck driving academy. I am so glad they are bringing this to the game.  I will certainly use this.  Whether new or a veteran, we can all learn and practice our skills. :D  Especially with complicated backing up situations.  Just put the Trimere depot in the academy and show us what to do, lol!

This game is actually very tolerabe to the low-skilled drivers — on that Trameri bases, to see a message about skipping the parking sequence, you just need to squeeze the cab to the entrance gates ;D. Of course, IRL you must pass all the exams much before you make your forst delivery, but it will make the game too hardcore for its statet rating of 3+.
So, I agree with the decision to make the driving academy as an option — just like in NFS: Porsche, where the actual championships were much easier than the Factory Diver mode.

I think the driver academy needs to be completed before some people play on SCS backed online servers.  But not so on friend run servers.
