I gave them all a watch. All in all this isn’t a bad way to go about starting up a new generation of horse. I’m not a real big fan of the fact that they chose to go with the Cal Arts potato faced smile that you see in so many cartoons these days. But that’s more a nitpick. The voices are of course different. I can imagine it would be expensive as shit to keep paying who they had for the movie. But these voices are still really good and capture the characters of each pony quite well. I just wanna know a bit more about Zipp. Everyone else seems established save for her.

Hope to see more soon.

I don't like the potato face either.  But I do appreciate they are all different shapes and sized.  Being that the movie was a one-off, I don't even notice the character voice differences.  They would become the OP voices in this show if this series became a real series.

The animation is not that smooth and feels cheap, but the studio is clearly doing what they can with their limited budget.  I am not a huge fan of the style either.  Soda said it best, their chins seem weird on some of the characters, not all.

These shorts were above average to me.  They were fine, harmless, enjoyable enough.  Short enough not to waste my time.

An open world, G5 game is in development!  Wow.

The game is set to be produced by Melbot Studios and published by Outright Games LLC, who has published of a whole host of console and PC games from Peppa Pig to Fast and Furious.

Melbot Studios themselves have worked our team has been involved in the development of high profile titles like the Invizimals Saga, Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider™, Gris, Aragami, and the Fez and Spelunky PS4 Ports.  Press release below.

"London, 08 March 2022 - Outright Games, the leading publisher of family- friendly interactive entertainment, in partnership with Hasbro, revealed today that My Little Pony is heading to consoles and PC for the first time in over five years with My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure. Introducing a whole new generation to one of the world’s most enduring entertainment franchises, this all-new adventure will allow fans to play together in the magical world of Equestria and will release this spring on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and followed by Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions as a free upgrade later in 2022.

Discover the next generation of ponies and their enchanting world Equestria in this new exciting single player adventure. Play as the curious and determined leader of the Mane Five, Sunny Starscout, and help her discover her powers whilst getting to know her friends: the courageous Zipp, creative Izzy, kind Hitch, and confident Pipp as they come together to organise the best festival ever!

If that’s not enough fun, collect accessories to customise the ponies and play together across mini games and in party mode!"

They included a very tame trailer for investors.  Clearly this is for kids.  But it's nice it isn't just gonna be stuck on the mobile platform and maybe people with Steam can buy this.

Is it weird to anyone this game still isn't listed on Steam?  Like why isn't the company trying to hype it up?

First twenty minutes of gameplay released.

It's pretty.... young audience oriented.

^ Still something.

Also this map appeared in some MLP merch.  It shows a small portion of the new Equestria.

This is our first map from the new series.

Hmmm.  Pretty map, but very limited in scope.

I like maps, but that is pretty much just promotional material at this point.  It's not much to work with.  And why did they go to Zephyr Heights from Maretime Bay THEN go to Bridlewood?  My point exactly, just promo material.

^ Yea, pretty much.  I wouldn't call this official, even if it is made by them.  Because once they realize they need a REAL world map, this will change.

Still might be a pretty relaxing thing to start up after a long day... maybe?

I'm going to wait for a sale. If it's like $14.99 I might consider it... But would prefer under $10.
