I just realized, we don't really make new years threads.
Feh, there's a reason.  It's tiring. Everyone's New Years Year's resolutions come down to the same damn hing: "Hey, you know all the [bleep] I said I'd do last year and didn't get around to?  Im'onna try to get all that [bleep]  done this year--though don't hold'jer [bleep]in' breath."

Well 2023 is gone, and I say good riddance. If anyone here happened to have a great year then by all means, that's amazing. I'm happy for you. But for me it was not a good year. There were pros. I got a little raise at work and I made the decision to go back to college for the first time in over a decade, but the cons definitely outweighed the pros. Between family dramas, deaths, personal problems, moving (AGAIN!) and love troubles that I can't seem to escape from, I say, with a vengeance, 2023 can go rot in hell.

Here's to a fresh start cause I sure as shit need one.

Still in the SoCal area, just not a very good part of it now.

What part is?  This state is a mess.  Keeps getting worse due to our leadership.

Personally, I see too many people say every year sucks to them.  So what year would they say is good?  If I had to think it over, all things considered, 2023 was not a bad year.  In fact it was quite benine.  So I guess it would be okay.  I hope everyone has a great 2024.

So far nothing different. Brainweasels are still a thing trying to gnaw their way into my head and ruin my day. Gets harder to keep them back.
