I guess it's time we go back to discussing Disney stuff here.
Okay. Um....today is the sixtieth anniversary of the debut of the film
Mary Poppins.
The film got a follow-up a little over a half-century later,
Mary Poppins Returns--at the time the longest gap between a film and its sequel on record. Surviving cast member Dick Van Dyke--Bert the cockney chimney sweep in the original--appears in the new movie as
a different character. It's also the final film role for
David Warner who passed just four years later.
