I used to say get it down a few days after Christmas.  I think waiting to New Years is fine.

Then there are people who can't take it off because of snow... ;D  So I think they get a pass until the snow melts.

Snow's melting fast here. Temps'll be up to high forties, low fifties by evening.  Hope there's still half-price Christmas candy for sale on the store shelves... but as I've noted earlier, I'm not above taking advantage of those deep dumpster discounts.

I'm willing to keep Christmas going at least 'til New Years', or even the first week of January.  It'll take that long to finish watching all the Christmas movies saved in my Hulu cache and welcome back all my fav radio hosts still out on December break, anyhow.

Yep, it's not often you hear a nice festive holiday song with a gay slur in it.    ;D

I admit I'm lazy, I usually leave my tree and xmas decorations up for as long as 1 - 1.5 weeks after New Years but never more than that.

If he owned the new GM Hummer EV, he would own the heaviest of them all.

Well, driving a Honda Civic would be much bigger hypocrisy in that case.
