I never understood that. Why people have the tv on for noise. Like, isn't that distracting?

I usually have a tv on for noise too.  House noises are more distracting.  Plus they say putting reruns on has a soothing effect cause you know whats going to happen or something like that.

They renewed WBB for a third season so it's doing well enough.

It's a good show, definitely.  But it still isn't drawing the big numbers they'd hoped for.  CN doesn't really have much of a choice but to renew it.  They don't have any other shows to renew.  Everything's set to end right now, or is brand new. ;) (They wouldn't have ended WBB anyways, it's doing decent enough.)  But watch out, once it dips under a million viewers, it will be on the chopping block rather quickly.

Right now it is hovering around 1.0 million to 1.1 million.  So it is close.  They were hoping in the 2 million range for this show, easily.

It is odd though, I never actively seek to go watch this show, but if it is on, I watch it.  I really do enjoy it.  It is a thoughtful show and deserves more viewers.

I have read it's good for pets because the sound of the TV makes them feel like someone is home when the family goes out.  I guess it'll work for a deaf dog too -- he can't hear the  voices, but the bright color and movement onscreen keeps his attention.

You guys brought up all the points I have brought up about CN, but you did it so nicely :)  Well said.

They really need some shows to take the reigns and lead them onward.  Don't have one strong push and just end.

CN is a very fickle network.  Either they don't have the money to really take risks or they're really cheap.
They manage some really amazing stuff like "Over the Garden Wall" but then they'll yank the rug out from Metalocalypse to make more Tim and Eric or some other vapid bullshit.

It is such a strange network, I agree.  "Over The Garden Wall" was a wonderful choice they did there, then I shake my head with other stuff like, "Secret Mountain Fort Awesome."

It seems right now they have direction, but they need to continue on with the quality.  Simplicity is their style, I get it for now.  Giving animators some freedom, sure, keep that.  People love it.  But they can't send in their best general first and have nothing behind them.

I do hope they have some good programs to follow.

As much as I would like more Over the Garden Wall episodes, I fear it wouldn't have the same magic it did as a short series.  But I do hope that creator gets a good show on CARTOON Network.

The next show that is coming to Cartoon Network is another acquired show, like "My Knight and Me" which is French.  The other show is "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and it will come out in Spring 2017.  It will be short lived is my guess, since it isn't really a show that fits in with Cartoon Network.

Then they have Ben 10 reboot, don't care about that.  They got another show called, "Summer Camp Island" coming in 2018.

I'd hate for them to continue it.  I'm very happy it stayed a mini-series.  It's just an example that they can discover very good talent and bring it to life.  Unfortunately I think they're moving more toward making a lot of money off stuff that generates toy revenue.  Nobody wants a Granny Whispers action figure :P

Worried about that new show, "Summer Camp Island."  Doesn't look interesting to me, don't like the animation style either.  Here is a snippet short.

I hope they don't sell out and lose out in the long run.  But they do want money and need it to grow, I understand that.

This preview shows it a tad better.  There's even a mailbox sneeze for you guys.
