Though those pics of her hugging Harvey Weinstein might be tough to explain away. Then again, the Clintons were pretty chummy with him too.  It's amazing how easy it is to sweep things that happened a mere two decades under the rug.  I think a lot of us who were around then enjoyed our share of little romps in what was a much more permissive sexual climate in 1996, '97 . Are our memories really that short? Have social mores changed that much in twenty years? What was the real game-changer? 9-11?  The election and rise of Obama? Or just our perspectives naturally shifting from getting older, settling down, some of us having kids that we don't want doing the kinds of things we did in school at that age?

You pose a question that I don't think has a single answer.  I think two major changes in American culture were 9/11 and the liberalization of America under the Obama administration.  Though, that liberalization may be in peril possibly with the Trump Administration.  As we saw in the election, quite conservative America woke up and voted. The smaller college aged liberal America is loud, but didn't beat it... though being that millennial are overwhelming liberal and the next generation with far more people then Baby Boomers, in the long run, we may see a Europe United States.

Morals change and shift.  Quoting roughly from a Biblical line, you need a rock solid foundation.  You are only going to be as strong as your leader.  So it really depends on what our administration promotes and how they project ourselves to the world.  Liberal will me less foundational morality. Conservative will mean more traditional morality.  (Generalizing) 9/11 was a wake up period.  A new "birth" if you will of America.  Obama was this new America exploring it's world and trying new things.  Some could argue Trump is more of that "exploring new things" phase but with some traditional values thrown in, as well as some kick ass attitude and strength that is projected to the world.

So... what am I trying to say?  You read it and figure it out.  @NostradamusTheSeer

On his show yesterday, Rush Limbaugh played this obscure little novelty song by Martin Mull, recorded in 1979.

I never knew he was a singer as well as an actor.   That makes his appearance on Wonder Woman as a recording star who hypnotizes pretty young women with his flute playing all the more interesting.

STUDY ON MEDIA COVERAGE OF PRESIDENT TRUMP, YEAR ONE.

(90% of news coverage was negative in 2017 to President Trump, biggest offenders were CNN and MSNBC)

(Negative coverage)

(Policy coverage)

STUDY: All the attempts Democrats Have Made in 2017 and 2018 so far to de-legitimize the President have failed... Not Accepting Election Results, Russia Collusion, Rigged Election, Racist, Dementia Claims, Physically Unfit, Only a Hollywood Actor, Unhealthy Lifestyle, Mentally Unstable, Sexist, Bannon Runs The Show, Poor Response To Hurricanes, List Goes On...

STUDY: Majority of Coverage Focused On False Controversies and Stories Instead of Policy and What was Actually Accomplished.

The media reaction to Trump’s first year has been so extreme, the public itself has become polarized over the coverage. In September, Gallup discovered that record numbers of Democrats are reporting “trust and confidence in the mass media to report the news ‘fully, accurately and fairly,’” with 72 percent of Democrats saying they trusted the press in 2017, compared to just 51 percent who said that a year ago.

A month later, a Politico/Morning Consult poll found that “more than three-quarters of Republican voters, 76 percent, think the news media invent stories about Trump and his administration.” That number swells to 85 percent when just Trump supporters are asked the question.

What seems to be happening is that many in the media, including the broadcast networks, have chosen to morph into anti-Trump activists. As a result, they provide massive attention to stories that they think make him look bad, give little airtime to more positive aspects of his administration, and punish him with massively negative spin.

The study suggests anti-Trump Democrats love that kind of news that degrades the President (over 72% believed it among Democrats), pro-Trump Republicans hate it (less then 15% of Republican's trusted the news being reported) — while the national media are cementing their reputation as biased partisans. Their hostility against the White House is now so obvious, nobody could possibly take them seriously if they ever again claim to be fair and non-partisan professionals.

Loved seeing the fake news awards and thanks for posting that media bias study.  Of course that would never be reported on any of the news sites that report bias and fake news all day.

Publicity stunt aside, if only the media would take the true message of these awards to heart and clean up their act, we might be able to salvage journalism in America.  There was a time when being a newspaperman was seen as a noble profession, and, let's face it, blogging just isn't the same.
