For the first time, I am growing a little bit of excitement for Texas.  This rather dull and boring, but massive update on the blog, made me realize how MASSIVE this update is going to be and how much it's going to expand our driving world.  There is so much low-density in these photos, and they didn't really show much for big core cities.  Lot's of gas stations, and highways... but I am excited!  Something finally clicked.

Is 37 photos a record for SCS?  I am going to just say it is and pretend it's true. ;D
As I remember, it’s the second or third time when they dropped over 30 screenshots, and 34 was the previous record. The last post was too big and they didn’t fit everything they wanted to show in one one-minute video, so today they have shown one more ;D.

Meanwhile, I am trying some heavy stuff I didn’t take for a year or even longer.

Not a very big problem if you have 730 HP, just try not to stop on the steep climb, if you don’t have crawling gears in your gearbox . When Eaton Fuller 18 is great both for the heaviest cargoes and the fastest freeways, European gearboxes make you choose between the low-speed and high-speed models.

Looks like you are holding up a little bit of traffic in that third photo. ;D

In a September 8th stream, SCS's licensing director said they expect many new trucks to come soon, including some this year.

Interesting...
Does it mean MAN TGX can be not the only new truck to be added at the end of this year? ;D

They finally uploaded the video, several days late!  Here it is.  There's actually a lot of interesting things they talk about.  I will listen to it later today and try to make some timestamps.  The developer, Oscar, is wearing a shift based off the flag of Colorado. :D  ^b-  EDIT: I listened but didn't make timestamps. :P

I saw on Youtube today, but didn't click it because I was working... something about another German city rework?  Does anyone know about that?  I don't remember what it was.

It would be good to give another German city a rework like it was with Hannover area, but I think remodelling of Switzerland will come first, since SCS have announced it officially.

UPD:
So, not only German or Swiss cities are the subject of discussion: we got a third option — a Spanish city ;D. Again, it’s another area not finished before Iberia DLC release, and the new patch will let us drive there. Also, I am very glad that between the posts about new map expansions we’ll finally see some announcements of 1.46 patch features. I wonder what it will be? We heard about adding JOST fifth wheels for the rest of trucks ;D, but of course, I expect more noticeable additions... like... new cargoes... or... DAF Tuning Pack items for DAF 2021 series.

Are you referring to Duisburg?  Youtube Link

That does not effect us and is done by a 3rd party, as in it's not official.  SCS will likely rework the city soon, but this is not SCS who did this rework of Duisburg.

I can't even imagine what they still have room for in the Iberian DLC.... other than including Andorra!  ANDORRA FREEDOM!!!

I haven't noticed this well detailed area near Madrid they are talking, probably because I usually end up driving around Madrid and rarely ending there to look around. I'm excited about these 1.46 teases.  It is also nearing time we will start hearing teases about phase 2 of the California rework, even if it is a long ways away still.

Don’t forget Monaco and San-Marino... and Liechtenstein ;D.
In addition to second exhaust pipe and a bit deeper side fairings, which I care about a little more than licensed fifth wheels ;D, we have several new gearboxes (still 12 speeds and no retarder, but with lower top speed, or lower first speed... or both) and unlocked SCI steering wheels. Not so much, but I expect more updates in the future.

Nice little update. :)  It is one of my fav trucks, probably because it's so new and shiny.

But I must admit, I like the 90s feel of the International Eagle.  I use that all the time.

Thanks for the extra stuff, SCS.

I do like the new gearboxes!  No offense, but I don't really care about licensed fifth wheels... does.... does anyone care?  I mean it makes no real difference. :(  But when they have new gearboxes, engines, paint jobs, new modifcation parts, those are things I like and that matter.  Sorry fifth wheels... sorry.

I've never been on the road yet where the new town in Spain will go. I will have to check it out.  Am I the only one who is a bit let-down by the city of Madrid?  We don't see any landmarks and it just feels like a big industrial park. :-\
