Interesting... We have W990 as an upgraded version of W900, and K220 playing the same role for K200. The same naming pattern, new i-Pad-like dashboard (W990 had the classic one, but today the official site shows only the new one), new ultrawide front grille...
I wonder if they have the «sketchy lines» mode in their 3D editor used for interior demo. If yes, this short clip could be a proud follower to Take On Me music video ;D.
Something tells me that at least the final assembly of K220 is done in Australia, unlike US-made Freightliner Argosy or... Scania Griffin, the low-budget model of G-series, produced in early 2000s for Russian market... in Brasil!
Haven't see anyone use that Pete in a long time.
I had a look on my truck fleet and last time I was driving 389 almost four months ago. So, I needed to refresh that experience ;D.

UPD:
And a lot of fuel for complainers .
So, even the licensed fifth wheels are not the smallest update — behold, the new city intros (played once when you start the new profile) for Colorado, Wyoming and Iberia! Features like this are usually mentioned at the bottom of the changelog list, but not today ;D. I believe we have at least two or three weeks before the open beta will start, so there is a hope the really big updates will be announced in the next posts.

P.S.
Look at what we just achieved!!

Right now, I see a lot of people helping to raise this number ???.

Also, the 3000th post is coming! You have a personal achievement by making the screenshot at the right time ;D.
UPD2:
OK, at least we see the road signs more often than city intros ;D.

I love the updates and thank you for continuing to post them, Tim.  But please, you can double, triple post if you need too. ;D

Well, my presence in this topic is already one of the biggest .
Also, I need to boast I have three garages in Montana, and the fourth one is about to be bought ;D. I love this state for having a permission to use Triples and TP Doubles — even if I pay 1500 USD fine for «Illegal trailer use» when being caught on some weigh stations in Idaho or Wyoming (they don’t allow these trailers) on the way to Nevada, the income from Dynamite compensates this with ease, plus, the low-level drivers can bring fair amount of money even before they grow up enough to make long rides. The same with HCT trailers in Finland.

After the last level up (a half of an our ago ;D) the price per distance has reached 200 dollars per mile.

One new truck after a 1.5-hour delivery ;D.
Of course, the heavy load requires to have as much horsepowers you can buy, and... I can say I found one more, in addition to Blucifer from Denver Airport ;D.

Montana is the near perfect state for you Tim.  You can just have a convoy of Triples with your other trucking employees and drive around the state like an efficient freight train!  lol!

Nice photo of the truck at Butte.  I actually like it in all white there.  Also the "horsepower" photo is neat.

So, every DLC has to include some new kind of industrial yards and developers just show us how they will look ;D. I doubt the announced river ports will have some ferries like Romanian one, but at least couple of marine routes from Croatia to Italy through the Adriatic Sea will be made for sure.

Well, I don’t very like convoys, when they can slow down other parts of traffic ;D. Also, in addition to epic money bringers, I always have some singles or short doubles — for exploring the southern part of the map.

I see this year I prefer shorter rides than in previous one — it was 152 deliveries for 177 playing hours for last year, and I already have 168 finished deliveries after 144 hours spent in ATS this year.

I like what they showed of the prefabs so far.  I love seeing those old fashioned cranes that were so prevalent in the Soviet Union and old European seaports as well.  For some reason, I also like those silo tanks. ;D

@timmelon
I like the photos.  I really like your Cascadia with the chrome bumper and grille.  I never do that, I always do body color, but it looks really good in that shot.  Also the pic of the truck with very nice tanks in front of the giant factory place looks great!

Eastern German TAKRAF and Hungarian GANZ supplied the whole Eastern Bloc ;D.

There were another manufacturers, but most of them were much smaller than these two.

Unlike 57X, Cascadia still has the metal bumper ;D. Also, I just found out that Freightliner’s chassis with 160-gallon tanks changes its configuration a bit when you install the sideskirts (and no sideskirts for 120-gallon version of Cascadia and 160-gallon version of WS).

Plus, I would like to change the plastic door handle for a painted one, but only 49X allows to do it, while 57X and Cascadia — don’t, despite it has exactly the same shape!
For this moment, 49X’s exterior is the most customizable from all three close relatives.

UPD:
This week is rich for blog posts ;D. Looks like the next state may have more giant interchanges than AZ, NM, OR and WA together. And of course, the painted concrete surfaces look much better than grey ones.
Also, I see there is a new driver safety slogan, and somewhere the palm trees are replaced by vertical wind turbines.

So at the beginning of the year, I had way more hours driven on ETS2 over ATS.  Two years ago my ETS2 was almost 200hrs over ATS.

Today I am now over 250hrs ahead in ATS over ETS2.  How did that happen?!  lol

If you like interchanges and massive, wide freeways, Texas is gonna be the state for that.  Houston and Dallas are infamous for their massive and wide freeways.  (Speaking of which, it will be so cool when LA is reworked using modern design practices by SCS).  Look at all the lanes in image 21!  :o

There appears to be a new AI pickup in image 6 that is two tone in color of red and white.  Looks like an older pickup. It can be seen in image 7 too.

SCS really needs to update their Dodge Charger in the game.  It's so outdated and they keep putting new police car liveries on a car that hasn't been sold since 2013.  lol.  Image 11 shows what I am talking about.

Image 12 is just cool.

Our first look in detail of Houston's skyline in image 13.  From this angle, it looks like the current generic skyline we have for Los Angeles. :P Dallas's skyline is much better view in image 23.

The clouds in image 14 are cool.  It looks like their are clouds in the forefront of the skybox.  That would be so cool to have that depth in the sky, but alas, I think it is still just a skybox.

I may be wrong, but image 24 might be Corpus Christi.

Possibly a new gas station called "Fushion" in image 27... electric charging stations?

How many Texas stars can you find in today's blog post?  lol

Eastern German TAKRAF and Hungarian GANZ supplied the whole Eastern Bloc ;D.

I learned something today.  Not sure how it will be useful in my life, but I still learned something.  [excited]

The freeways in Texas are looking huge and wide.  I wish the game could have more traffic in cities sometimes.  They seem to open.

The folder with your user settings and backup files (usually created in «Documents»)

contains the file named «config.cfg», which has the string with parameter «uset g_traffic "1.0"». You can set bigger numbers (up to 10.0) to increase the traffic density, but keep in mind that with too big values you may wait a lot at every intersection (and RR crossings!), also, with more dense traffic you will see more traffic accidents in tight places (AI in these games is pretty good, but not perfect), and this may slow you down even more.
