Gran Turismo 7 is being met with GLOWING reviews.  10 and 9 scores across the board and being ranked as one of the best motorsport simulation games around!  Awesome to hear.

GT7 is pretty incredible.  I got it on a normal PS4 and it's been awesome.  Runs very smooth!

A few weeks in, it is very fun and reminds me of the hours I spent in the classic Gran Turismo games.  If you liked those, you should like this.  Formula is similar with slight tweaks.

Yeah, new Gran Turismo is pretty good, the gameplay is solid. I'm not a fan of the roulette style prize wheel, reminds me of loot crates. I'm not a fan of being able to buy in game currency with real money. These are features that aren't going to go away anytime soon, this is the gaming landscape now. Every game needs that type of game mechanic. lol.

These things aren't deal breakers as of right now because the game is very playable without those mentioned game mechanics. I just hope it stays that way.

Agreed. I don't like those things, but I don't look at them so I guess it shouldn't bother me.  I just grind away at races for money like I used to do.  Roulette wheels is inescapable though.

It is completely playable without ever having to look at the GT shop to purchase things with real money.  So that is good.

According to some random guy on Twitter....

Mike Straw

BREAKING: Multiple sources have told me that #NASCAR is actively looking to get out of its agreement with Motorsports Games, and move the NASCAR game license to a different developer & publisher. $MSGM

Who knows if there is any truth to this.  If it is, many point to iRacing being the new company to make a game because of the following reasons...

•eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series -Spring 2020
•Dale Jr Officially joins iRacing Management -November 2nd, 2020
•iRacing develops new Atlanta layout -September 2020 to July 6th, 2021
•iRacing Purchases Orontes Games -December 22, 2021
•iRacing Purchases Monster Games -January 4th, 2022
•Monster Games: World of Outlaws Console Game Announced -April 4th, 2022

I haven't played a proper nascar game in years, like PS2 or PS3. I hear they're not as good now. That doesn't surprise me.

The best were still NASCAR Thunder from between 2002 and 2005. If you had a PC back in the day, or still do today, the very best still is NASCAR Racing 2003.  You can simply mod that game to current standards and it's fantastic.  Huge community and websites still making hundreds of mods and new models weekly.  Another good one was Dirt too Daytona.

Most are okay now.  Not as many features, but still good-enough to get your NASCAR fix. NASCAR Heat 4 and 5 are considered pretty good and are the most recent other than NASCAR Ignition 21.  Don't get that because it's a mess, though visually stunning.  Other low rated ones are NASCAR 2015, and NASCAR 2007-2009 when EA stopped caring and didn't even try.  They didn't even model different car manufacturers anymore.  Just a generic car with different liveries.  That was horrible.

I wanted Motorsports Games to succeed because they had so many cool licenses for new games with Indy Car as well as British DTM.  Now who knows what will happen to all these games they had promised.

I was really looking forward to a new good NASCAR game series and INDY car.  Now with things up in the air (supposedly) it's just sadness.  Who would NASCAR go back to?  New devs, old devs?  Old devs are working on World of Outlaws now.  I am sad to think that INDY might have no one and just disappear.
