The colors is really what irks me about nu-lings.   They could have kept the look without messing with the colors.

Eh the chests still look like they're dying.
But yeah, if they kept the colors it would have been better. It looks like a story boarder handed their sketch to a 4 year old and let them color it in and made that the new design.
