It will probably be Vice City or the much mentioned Carcer City. Many say it is a mix of all midwest cities like Pittsburgh, Detroit, etc.  So it would be a pretty bad place.

I hope they don't go overseas.  Their humor and style just wouldn't hit people, especially since most players are only going to get the American references, since that is 60-70% of sales and the bulk of buyers.

They might some day, but I hope not either.

GTAO will give them time to develop a new game in the background... but we already know that new game coming out next is the next Red Dead game, which will be fantastic.

It will certainly be a game of the year winner and game changer.  But I am willing to bet that the GTA Rockstar crew has already spent time on the next GTA too.

All these vehicles for GTAO could easily be ported into a new current era GTA.

Exactly my point, and new things developed for the next RD game can easily translate to GTA.  Just like GTA translated perfectly to RDR on the PS3.

I can't wait for more RD info.  I doubt we will see a new GTA within the next four years... but I sure hope we do.

So what would be your ideal next GTA location?

A GTA World!  j/k...

I would like an area never done or rarely done.

Gosh no!  That would be so flat... and flat.

Like look at a bigger region.  They could do the Pacific Northwest, have one big city and several smaller towns in a region and make a great game.

Or even middle America like Minnesota with a decent sized big city and lots of countryside and a few small towns to explore.

I was thinking similar.  Have a region you play in, then can fly a plane at the airport to another region.  You would have to buy a ticket to get to the other maybe.

I have thought that too, but doing so would take away the complete freedom and immersion.  I would frown that idea, despite it being a top idea of mine for a long time too.
