This is a nail biting election and we are going to go into the night without truly knowing.  I am going to have to call it a night as well.

The only swing state so far is Arizona which is predicted to go to Biden.  Virginia is looking to go towards Biden.  This would mean Biden is very close to the 270.

I'm not surprised by the Virginia result, I live there, I was hoping it would flip red but I knew it wouldn't.

I'm hoping Trump can nail the remaining states and claim victory! I hope that after the election, win or lose, things don't go to hell. I've got to go to work, y'all have a good day, I guess I'll find out more when I get home from work.

It is looking very unlikely right now Trump will win re-election, at a shock to most people indeed.  He has currently lost the blue wall rustbelt states and may have lost Arizona.

At this point, the path to victory is just six points for Biden, which he will likely pick up from Nevada.

I am calling this a Biden win by tonight most likely.

The only way Pres. Trump can win as it stands is flip Nevada, win Pennsylvania, win North Carolina, and win Georgia.  The latest numbers show Georgia may flip and Pennsylvania may flip to blue.

Clearly many will be surprised President Trump will be a one term president.  In terms of accomplishments, the Trump administration has had more than any President in recent history.  Whether it was economical, national, or local dealings, many great things were done for the American people in his four year term.  I think many are shocked and coming to the realization that he somehow did not win.

Another thing we learned, there was no blue wave.  The Democrats didn't get the huge blue wave they expected, and in fact actually lost seats in the House.  If Biden wins, it will be by an extremely slim margin.  But it will show people bought into false narratives to a degree from the Democratic Party.  It may also be people didn't feel the Trump Administration handled the virus in the best way, but it's always easy to be a back seat quarterback...

We'll see what happens.

If you are a conservative and already feel you have to hide your views or Christian beliefs... now you're really gonna have to hide them here in the near future.  Christmas will become 'holiday' again as we see a shift towards politically correct everything again.

If you were excited about the economic gains in your 401k and stock market, expect that to evaporate.

Everything will be compartmentalized into groups, blacks, whites, gays, straights, Christians, Jews, etc.  No a united people, but different groups and that is all you will be seen as.  White men, it's gonna get worse for you.

It looks like Joe Biden is going to win it.

I really thought Pres. Trump was going to win again.  I just couldn't imagine what people saw in Joe Biden.  I don't even know if he will make to his inauguration day because he seems so out of energy all the time.  No plans.  I just can't see him leading.

Will we go into lockdown again now with Biden and our economy collapse?  Who really knows right now.

I don't understand the states that flipped from Trump to Biden.  Under Trump, those people had the best years of their lives and saw record jobs come back... I just don't get it.

It is a shocking turn of events.  I don't think even most Democrats thought that Joe Biden would win.  There isn't a single person I spoke with in the past several months who thought Joe would win.  So it's very strange.

The answer is simple... people just hate Trump... well the urban areas of those states hate Trump.

They won't look at his accomplishments, they only look at what the media has to say about Trump. Russia. Collusion. He's against the LGBTQ community. He's racist... and Joe isn't? Let's completely ignore the, "If you don't vote for me, you're not black." quote... I know almost every person of color in my store/job voted for Biden. The virus is Trumps fault. Everything is Trumps fault.

I give up... the world wants this progressive, socialist utopia. I'm just going to deal with what I was dealt and move on with my day, and pray the tax increases don't destroy my paycheck or my parent's paycheck. I just want this year to be done and over with, if we go through another shutdown I'll probably lose my freaking mind! It'll also lead to a bunch of people filing for bankruptcy... more people will become homeless because they can't pay their bills... kiss those ma and pa stores goodbye.

I don't know how accurate the count was... because my state was marked blue before they even started counting. lol. Biden got it but it wasn't favoring him until the last 25% of votes were tallied.

edit: Sorry for my negativity, I just don't understand people. I don't understand people preaching tolerance while demanding people who support Trump to unfollow them, which I have been doing because I don't want to follow intolerant people. I'm going to bed now, I wish you all a goodnight.

I don't understand how this happened either.  I didn't think it was possible for Biden to win.  He was so lacking in every possible way.  Trump truly loves the country, you can tell.  Biden and that fake Kamala .... I mean... how would they be the ones people vote for?  2020 truly is a year of shocks, possibly the worst year in my lifetime.

I am also hearing in some news reports about several fake ballots "magically" being found.  Reportedly Wisconsin had discovered roughly 120,000 votes that happened to be majority Biden?  There is also real claims that are more founded in Pennsylvania where thousands upon thousands of ballots are being found in various areas.  4,000 for example were found in one batch happened to ALL be for Biden.  How is that even possible?

What I don't get is how Republican's defied what the media, newspapers, etc had been saying for months leading up the election.  They kept promoting falsely a 'BIG BLUE WAVE' and Biden would win huge.  That the Dems would pick up 15 new seats and control the House, Senate, and the White House.  The pollsters were saying massive wins for the Dems.

We didn't get that at all.  We got Republican's who won upwards of 10 or more extra seats reducing Democrat control.  We have at least two states that have now flipped power from Dems to Republican.  Democrats lost overwhelmingly throughout the country.

We got a close Presidential race which some may say is marred in corruption.  Now we are seeing ballot anomalies in several states where MORE votes are appearing than people who live in the counties.  We are seeing ballots that check "Biden" only and no other candidates.

The election is down to six states right now.  Those six states are majority Republican and all the House and Senate races in those states went Republican .  So how come these six states we are still waiting for... all supposedly voted for Biden? When the people clearly voted for Republican's in every other race?  Is something shady really going on and is it deep state or world power meddling?

Yeah... This race is a bit odd... I keep hearing rumors from some of the people I know at work, customers and co-workers alike. At least from the deplorable people like myself who put in their vote for the orange carrot man. Ballots magically appearing all for Joe. Postal workers mislabeling the arrival of some mail in ballots so they can be counted instead of discarded. Some people claim that there mail in ballot had been stolen. etc. I don't know. I feel like all these mail in ballots make this election less transparent and less trustworthy. I'm baffled.

personally, between the lincoln project being outed as the grifters they obviously were, the destiel/putin shitstorm of the 6th, and now the overwhelming, schadenfreude-inducing tsunami of cope from those who were absolutely certain it was in the bag for the fash, i'm delighted with how all of this has gone

oh except for the bomb threats at tallying centers and armed attempts at vote suppression, those weren't very cool. biden and the neolibs can rot, sure, but mask-off defiance of the democratic process is not, in fact, a great look

How come there were more votes in Ohio then there are registered voters?

Clearly the Dems had this planned so they wouldn't lose no matter what.

Rigged.

Now, while this year’s voter turnout is a record by sheer volume, Ohio will not set a record percentage-wise. There are 8.1 million registered voters in Ohio, so as of now, turnout is 72%.

I don't know what to think... I don't think this election was handled well, I don't think mail in voting was the right call.

My personal opinion... is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think absentee voting should be reserved for people who cannot vote in person, reserved for people with medical conditions that prevent them from traveling or people who travel a lot because of their job. If you can go to work or go to the grocery store, you can go vote in person! I also think voter ID laws should stay in place and all states should have them... if you need an ID to drive a car, buy a car, buy a beer, buy a gun, etc... you should need one to vote, as proof of your identity.

In my state, where I live, I was sent two absentee ballots that I did not request... and one was partially filled out. What if one of those ballots got sent to the wrong address?

I understand the worries about a lack of reasonable VID leading to insecure elections, but Voter ID laws have historically been used to suppress and disenfranchise minority votes (specifically: the poor, the elderly, the disabled, and racial/ethnic minorities) and instances of voter fraud are rare enough (31 cases in seventeen years, out of billions of ballots cast) to render heavy-handed laws requiring voter ID a moot point. The US already maintains an enormous database of voters (voter registration) and can cross-reference that with whose votes have or have not been counted. It is incredibly difficult, nigh impossible, to get a mail-in and an in-person ballot counted, or to fill out someone's ballot as someone else, and get away with it—there will be a clear conflict during tallying and you (and the third party who sabotaged your ballot, if applicable) will go to court in short order.
