October Sky is good!  I like that movie.  I haven't seen the "Fantastic Mr. Fox," but it looks like it could be a quirky fall movie.

Thankgiving is sorely unrepresented in films, TV shows, and cartoons, I find.  There's, like, ten million Christmas movies; there must be a good Turkey Day tale to tell.

Oh, say, what's the one where the turkeys get hold of a time machine and try to go back to the first Thanksgiving to wipe it off the historical map?

The Cartoon series, Bob's Burger's has a Halloween and a Thanksgiving episode every single season.  It's their tradition.  They also have a Christmas and Valentines one each season too.

Just be thankful they aren't celebrating other forms of body hair. I mean, equal representation and all, yeah, yeah, but c'mon, there's got to be standards somewhere.  Quality control, y'know.      They always open the John Boy and Billy Big Show by announcing all the weird holidays going on for that particular date.  "Ants on a Log Day" remains my favorite. It'll be years before someone comes up with a confectionary treat worthy of its own day.  Years, I tell ya.  If you have one, serve a platter of 'em to your Thanksgiving guests--if you're still allowed to have them in your repective town--and let us know if it's a hit. Your spot on the national calendar could be assured.
