Eh, we had one on PSF 1.0. I know most of us aren't the ranting and complaining type and don't really seem to get angry but Ima just make it for future purposes. Just like the Life Update thread so rant topics don't become a clutter.

I'm not really sure what i'm hoping to gain from this other than some venting and validation, because it's incredibly frustrating to me that someone who's done so much good for the community in terms of content aggregation and preservation can also be such an intolerant piece of shit.
I think you summed this up perfectly. Even their compliments to us is usually negative. They post on our various sites of art to not tag things because they dislike seeing them. They are very selfish.

People would just scatter and the void would maybe someday be filled by another site, but most likely most would scatter and roam various forums never being able to fill their needs.

I mean, that forum barely adds content either. The people there really have no incentive to stay. Jackolope has left and isn't writing stories for that forum anymore. So their top writer has left. They basically have nothing.

That forum could have grown pretty big with all the people and contributors we have at PSF now. It would have been a big boon for them. But that isn't the matter at hand... It is up to Stereo if they plan to ever share this info they shared with us over at SF.

If they share it here, it would get deleted and they would certainly get banned. You would need many people to post it at times when the mods are not online.
Or you could withhold yourself from that kind of attack and do nothing and just tuck this in your pocket for another time.

I blocked him when i found his commentary about my existence on his forum to be rather misguided, as if he didn't particularly like my art and wanted me shunned away despite his forum enjoying my art. He lamented in a Trump-esque fashion and made up some claim that he couldn't "archive" my work because of such. His statement is odd considering I can download all kinds of work from artists who've blocked me in the intervening years of deviantArt and FurAffinity.
I've did everything but apologize to him for blocking but I never received such an apology back for his strange treatment of me. I dunno why he berates his own community members and fancies himself to be Holier Than Thou, but in light of these chat postins I... kinda hate to sound crude here but I hope karma has it's way with him in some capacity.

He has done the same to many of us. He likes a lot of our artists on PSF DA, but then says he wishes they didn't draw ponies because it isn't really art or something like that. He's done more then that, but he is super full of himself.

Out of respect for my clients, I won't name them, but I can say that most of the clients I've had come from sneezefurs and most of them have all spoken about his mistreatment of others. It's mostly the reason I've blocked him; if he's going to be rude to someone like Daedalus or SneezyDragon, I certainly take issue with him harassing my clients.
It amazes me that his site can live this long and yet still over 1000+ pieces of "borrowed" copyrighted material from animated television shows, movies, and comicbooks - or art from artists - without permission. If his chatroom theatrics don't do something, perhaps someone should look into reporting that material.

I've only been on sneezefurs for a small amount of time. He's got directories for art and video clips.
I dunno anything else about whether it's legal or not, I've only been on sneezefurs a few times - to see clients posting my art, the lament he had about me, and a brief look at the directories of his art and video clips. The whole art directory is a hodge-podge of stuff people have been or were given to others over the internet.

I'm going to look into this more. I'm no lawyer, but I don't think housing a bunch of 80's-90's cartoon character sneezing and keeping them in a library constitutes as fair use. If anything, it's just a glorified Mediafire GB storage shelter of stuff he found.

It's just an archive. Don't get them in trouble at him for that. It was a nice service and still is, though you are right on one thing, he doesn't ask permission to put them there and host them. We're lucky to have everything in one place. The MLPS is the same thing, everyone's art in one place... granted we don't host their content unless we get permission.

Then my suggestion is he should step down. Or take a leave of absence for awhile, if not completely.
Keep the archive, but shake-up the administrative user listing and put more professionally-inclined people to run it. Clearly he's very vocal and it's not an isolated incident, he seems to have taunted and done it before. I can't speak for everyone but I think more competently aware moderators would make sneezefurs a much more healthy and welcome experience for newcomers and old members alike.
At any rate, I guess we'll see where it goes.

No we don't. It all links to their content. We host none of it on our servers.

The difference is, he HOSTS their art so he can control it. If the artist wants it deleted, he can choose to or not. One the MLPS, if the artist removes it, we lose it too.

And I agree with Patri too, he should probably step away for a bit. But this would only occur if his forum see's this and rises up or even cares enough too. If not, then it is business as usual.
Whatever the outcome, I do not want to see that whole community displaced or ruined.

No we do not. We've made an effort not too. We ask permission. Our old Photoshop account we used to host some content, is no longer used. We've made sure to comply as much as possible and we can always improve.

My only complaint, there are people who shall remain unnamed are trying to destroy my favorite website over the site owners personal views. And they are forcing other members to choose between the website or them. Basically they are forming a lynch mob. All this negativity needs to stop, stop being petty and enjoy the site.

I agree fully, I just wish people would stop stirring the pot. There are not a lot of places for me to go and indulge and explore my fetish. It is a niche fetish. I just want everybody to agree to disagree and leave it at that. No more fighting over a difference of opinion. There has just been so much pointless drama. I play games and come to the internet to escape drama. I have enough of that in my life already.

There's a huge difference between a lynch mob and people who've been mistreated by someone over the years standing up to someone.
No one is starting a witch hunt, no one is trying to kidnap his child and hang him out to dry like this is the Old West. People took negatively to his reaction - i.e. see JonTron's latest debacle - and are reacting to it. Clearly this has affected more than a few people, and they're not going to take it lying down.
So, uh, No-- this isn't "pointless drama". Pointless drama is us going crazy because he doesn't like Super Mario. These are very personal opinions from the heart.

From what I've been told. You can be banned out of the blue for just because FS isn't a huge fan of what you're into, apparently. You'd have to ask the person who saved the chatlog, and others.

I wonder if people will actually leave and break apart the community? There have been times when the sneeze fetish community has broken up and side websites that have sprouted up but never became successful.... really PSF is the only site that sprouted up and kept going.

PSF as we know it, exists because Furry Sneeze kicked out sneezing and pones from his web forum.... so he helped quicker create this beast. ;D

A good forum needs a theme to make it stand apart, I think. The blue one is meant for casuals, older adults; this one has an MLP-theme around it, and sneezefurs caters to the furry fandom. Most of the ones I kinda saw in the past were basic and simplistic, which isn't a bad thing, even one based solely on sneeze fetish role-plays.
I don't know where the new one will go or fit in should it begin construction, we're still working on the kinks as far as I know. But the basic idea so far is, "A more welcome community than..." you get the idea.

PSF does welcome everyone, but it would be a huge shift and change for us. Sure we want new people to talk with, but at the same time, you might draw in baggage too, which you might not want.

It will all come down to simply this; Either people will stay or go. Chances are, they will mostly all stay. So I wouldn't worry too much. :) People will prefer normality and being comfortable over actually having to change everything in more cases then not.

I feel like the site will probably survive but I know of a couple friends being pressure to leave the site because of how they feel. Force them to choose between the friends that have left the site and friends that are still part of the site. I know there are a few people who probably dislike me because I have not left the site or pledged my allegiance to this site and only this site. I like this site but I am not going to abandon the other site.

It is a shame some people WILL indeed have to choose, and that is unfortunate. It could have been avoided if the cause of all this was simply more forgiving or . . . I don't know the word to use. It just seems that the problem is very clear and they can fix it with possibly some apologies.
I know you for being an expert at getting clips from SF, and that is pretty much all I know you for. But there is no need for you to pledge allegiances anywhere. It might even be best to not say anything and just do as you like to to do. :)

Nobody is forcing anyone to leave. The mere thought of such an idea existing is really silly, lol...
I still like you, Ben (mega), but I feel like FS is the third wheel in making the friendship complicated. I can't work knowing that I also have to let FS have his way. That's why I'm staying on the side of all my friends against SF.

If people want to stay on sneezefurs, all the power to them. Nobody will think of them any lesser or chastise them for not agreeing to go.
If - IF - the new forum does go along, it was agreed amongst pretty much everyone involved that no one will bring up FS. It'll always be there as an alternative in case people want to leave SF but dunno if they want to come to PSF or there.

I apologize for speaking the way I did. This situation has stirred a can of worms, a lot of heated beef and some old wounds, so it's best not to discuss it anymore.
A lot of the people on my Skype have all moved on from FS matters, which reaffirms my belief that this "lynch mob" assumption is long since invalid. If megacycle wants to take this matter to people who have very firm opinions about FS as a whole, he should talk to them. I'm not involved in the situation directly-- I'm just a small part of it.
That said, I'm going to move forward.

I'm sorry about escalating the issue as well. There is a lot of bad blood and wounds that have not fully healed.
I keep finding myself at the center of the issue when I want nothing to do with it. I would appreciate if people would stop trying to push me into the middle of the whole entire debacle.

PSF does welcome everyone, but it would be a huge shift and change for us. Sure we want new people to talk with, but at the same time, you might draw in baggage too, which you might not want.
Late but all the people on SF don't talk. If they all migrated here it would literally be no different except that people who like anthro animals sneezing also have accounts here.

I will say if you look at certain places though the amount of sneeze content is astronomical (PSF has tons) but even our artists and writers have slowed down a lot. What was once new, wears. But we still have a steady flow luckily.
It always makes me laugh that so many of them don't even acknowledge or realize PSF is is around doing our own thing. I am glad we aren't involved in their drama.
