Glim Glam and Pals is an online comic series which can be found here (https://glimglamandpals.tumblr.com). This is the official discussion topic.

So the series is sort of getting started, and I figured, why not have another series for us to talk about, and this so far seems like it could start with a deep story too.
In a similar vein to Adorkable Twilight & Friends, you got everyone living under one roof; Twilight, Starlight, Spike, and Trixie, instead of Moondancer in AT&F. So if this seems like an interesting comic to follow, feel free to contribute to the topic.

It is a cute series, dark humor. I feel that AT&F was definitely a big inspiration for them, but nonetheless, a great series so far and well drawn.

There is only like five comics so far. Too early to tell much, but there is a storyline. So far the story is Twilight is upset she got made at Starlight and Trixie... and that is about it.

Only 5? Wow, I thought there was a lot more. It's got 1000 followers already (according to a post I scrolled by). We sure about that??

Yes, it has less then ten total comics. I have no idea how it propelled to almost 2,000 followers already.
They must have done a past comic and told people to move on over.

Today's latest episode took a strange step towards Adorable Twilight world, and the community is taking note.
Moondancer just shows up and is now going to live with them!

The community is also saying that the dialogue is a mess in this one, very disconnected and jumpy, and I agree.

Well the whole comic is weird. It's just disconnected. The pupils are weird too. It doesn't seem like.... it's real? Does that make sense?

They are drawn differently.... it kinda seems like a dreamscape. It doesn't seem like they are in their real world.

This is the best theory I've heard brought up about this so far. It seems far fetched... but deliciously dark. I love dark chocolate. I bought a 91% dark cocoa bar last week and it was so delicious.

It's the eyes and disconnect. I wonder if it is a dream, or a subconscious reality of some sort? You all remember that messed up story Max Gilardi did with the .MOV series. Similar in that arc with Applejack... a different plane of consciousness.
So in theory here, I would say that Twilight or Moondancer here isn't really real. I looked back on their previous comics, and they are probably trying to mind-meddle people.

The author states that it is regular to have an irregular comic schedule... or something along those lines. Nice way to not have a set schedule. ;)

I think Twi is asking how long she'll be staying as in, Twi doesn't want her around ATM cuz she's busy so she's like "alright well how long ya gonna stay here?" And Moon is like "awhile".

I am enjoying this series so far, but too early to tell fully how good it will be. This is from the creator of that Bulk Biceps series awhile back.

I have officially caught up on this series, so I am ready for whenever it continues. It is pretty good so far. I'm on the edge with it, need to see some more to find out where it will go.

Bulk Biceps appears with Starlight, and she brings up her strange near death experience to him. Not sure what to say other than well drawn.

I mean, it's cute and all... but it is actually quite dark. Starlight is a very dark character at the moment. Seeing Bulk Biceps we know he is from their previous Bulk Biceps cartoon.

I like the series, but again, I am left not really sure what to talk about. It's good and well drawn, but it sort of always leaves you hanging. I kinda wish some comic episodes had some closure. Continued stories are great, but you need breaks in them too.

There is plenty to talk about. Why Starlight almost ended herself. Twilight and Moondancer's ghost theory, etc. Spike and Trixie, etc.

Yeeaaaaah, but there isn't enough to go off of yet. It's sort of all one-off's so far. Everything just happened randomly to begin with in a tub, and now we are here.

This series gets far more notes on their Tumblr then Adorkable, yet I don't feel people discuss it much. Again, probably because it just is so random how it started and we are trying to piece it together. They still need to make comics explaining things.

The time it takes for this series to come out with new content reminds me of the successful Scootaloo's Scootaquest. But I just hope the artist doesn't pull away from the series simply because it takes to much time and effort to do each comic.

I lost interest in the series for that very reason. Beautiful when they draw, but it just was too slow. Probably too much work for them even.

I saw that comic a few days ago, forgot to post it. It was really well done and I kinda felt bad for Trixa-mix. Hit ya right in the feelings with that comic.

I'm guessing they are going to struggle between making a humorous comic and something very deep for people to experience. They will keep more viewers for humor, but lose many with the deep experience they started with in the beginning. They will tread a fine line as they go on with this I am sure, and I a curious as to how they will do it.

I think you excelled on the panel with Bulk holding Starlight. Very dramatic a pose with the POV slightly titled up to them. It adds to the drama being portrayed.

Twi and Bulk don't seem to be on the greatest terms. This is also an ongoing comic related to a previous comic that focused on Bulk and Flutters for those who are not aware.

I will admit I was late to following this series but it does keep progressively getting better. It took awhile for me to get in to it. Even with the massive bang of a start it made. I am starting to warm up to the characters more.

Well, end of the whole series. She's dead. Now it will become a courtroom drama as Bulk is in court and has Phoenix Wright as his attorney.

Yeah, its more a time saving thing. Specially when im busy with work i kinda becomes rly hard to pull full color updates that often. There are some art choices that have meaning behind them, but the black and white thing is not one of them.

Wow, Celestia's kind of a laze if she doesn't feel worth her time to fix this. Good comic though, nice color visuals. That is a plus. :) I will say the design for Luna and Celestia is questionable compared to the rest of your character designs. They look very masculine too... but hey, who cares, it's a comic right? :) Nice job.

I guess where I am at is this... whats going to happen next? That was quite the trip and story arc we just went through. I guess it's done... but it might be touched upon at a later time. I find it oddly peaceful how Starlight accepted possibly staying their forever with Death. She even aged BACKWARDS while there, which was a really cool thing the artist did. My only thing I was confused about is the comment about Luna and her maid friend at the very end.

I didn't understand the end. I know Luna came with that maid pony, she was cute, I like her design. But I got everything with death. It was a really good episode and shows Luna has a dark past!

There is a lot going on here. Starlight willing to let Luna save face by "telling the truth" and keeping her image of heroism. Starlight accepting what happened.... Luna wanting to explain her regret to Starlight... dang. Lot going on here.

Haha, that is so weird we both post at almost the exact same instant (especially considering how rarely you post) lol.
Yeah, this was a really good episode overall. It has a lot coming together, but nothing really being solved? Like it's all out in the balance to let the viewer think about what just happened. Hopefully everyone pays attention closely and grasps all the things happening here because it's really good.

I love the art, but kind of waiting for this crossover arc of theirs to end. It's just dragging on. Not interested in some OC taking the reigns and being a "main" character in what used to be a purely Glim Glam and Trixie show. Would like it if they followed up on the plot holes with Starlight's near death experience or Trixie and Spike's relation. Crossovers rarely work well, and this is an example of it seeming forced.
