I think she may have jumped the gun a bit.  I do hope it works out the best for both of them.  I invested a lot of time in their relationship... by reading about it. ;D  Ponyville is way too gossipy. ;D

Ouch!  This is painful on so many levels.  Having followed them for so long then to end in this, it's very sad. I just wish Greg could have done more at the end there.

Sunset looks worried, as if she's expecting a crying fit or tantrum, in panel two.... but Moonie is smiling, gracious, and congratulates her opponent.  If only some real-world world leaders could take a cue and show this sort of decorum upon losing elections.

But I do think we saw growth in Moondancer's character, which was nice. :)
