More curved roads means it takes longer, which means the world feels bigger.
That approach surely helped SCS to make Romania feel very big ;D. Due to a small size of Greece, I expect they will return to this strategy.

GTA San Andreas made great effect with curved roads back in the day.  That map seemed HUGE.

I also happen to be in Romania right now in ETS2.  Weird coincidence.  I just visited a new city I've never been to.  Cluj-Napoca.

Anyway, Hard Truck 2 from 2001 still has the most curved map ;D. (the size is about 20-25 minutes from the northern to the southern point)

This «short straight - 90° degree curve» pattern is super annoying — with the trailer attached, your speed must not exceed 50 km/h to stay in one lane. Add the stupid AI cars, and you will understand why the damaged cargo penalties are laughably small ;D.

I have issues with some of the curved roads in ETS2 as well.  There are some very very sharp hairpin turns that I have no idea how you are supposed to make the turn without crossing into the other lane of traffic.  I've had AI traffic ram into me because they don't realize they should stop when I take these corners!

HT2 is a good game to try for people who thinks *TS traffic is very dangerous ;D. Total lack of self-preservation instinct, even in the areas near water bodies (this game have them a lot).
You start the game, look at one specific traffic light, and the very first vehicle kicks it down (the first minute of the game ;D).

In pre-2003 versions the traffic lights and small trees were unbreakable, so this area was blocked immediately.

Also, I think some roads were designed by Fluttershy herself. «Oh, there is a tree/small hill? OK, I will go around it, don’t need to disturb the nature ». Even when we have the road cuts, they are not straight.

Have breakable light posts would be interesting.  Right now hitting signs in the game are a massive detriment. ;D

It is interesting they had to make a post like this.  I haven't seen anything that is wild speculation.  It all seems pretty known which trucks, and future map expansions are coming. Did we miss something people made up?

^ I think this kind of post targets clickbait Youtuber's like Vutomy. Vutomy created their channel mimicking what AP 101 Gaming does, expect unlike AP 101 Gaming, Vutomy makes stuff up and posts clickbait titles with claims like "ETS2 is Dead" or "SCS Sued" and "ETS3 is coming."   There is an obvious reason we don't ever link to them.  AP 101 Gaming has a relationship with SCS and even gets early access, so it is beneficial for them to be truthful when sharing information.  Vutomy does not. Vutomy also seems to focus mostly on ETS2 and has been spreading false information with that more . . . uh . . . fragile fanbase if you will. lol.  Fragile in a sense that many take ATS as a threat to their ETS2 and Vutomy plays on that.

It seems the majority of comments is going after Vutomy, and maybe they will change their ways.  Sadly they have a decent 15k subscriber following, meaning people believe what they post. AP 101 Gaming is at 30,000 subscribers. Vuctomy started their channel just in 2022 while AP 101 has been around since 2017, with their first video in 2019.

I was looking more into that after I posted the blog post. You seem to be right. I don't know of any other Trucking Sim news channels besides those two. Never watched Vutomy even though it was recommended to me before. His titles were sensationalist and I am sure with this backlash they will surely see, they will hopefully clean up their act.  It seems their speculation becomes almost fan-wishes.

AP 101 Gaming is a good one for news (though they really are bad at driving in their early previews, lol).

As the sub-title of the video says, the upcoming rework will be released with update 1.50, so we may see it really soon. Unlike other «meet the team» posts, this time the team is presented after the job is done ;D.
