It's going to look like the Renault trucks we already have but be electric.  I think it will be a unique paint scheme.  The game as is has no electric charging stations in ETS2, but there are some unused ones in ATS I've seen.  If they do reveal the first drivable electric truck, they will probably just use the gas stations still. ;D

I hope the big gap between 1.49 and 1.50 gave enough time to actually model the electric chargers ;D.

That would be a nice surprise if they made chargers and put them all over the map, but i highly don't expect that, lol.

With a charger though, that would add a new form of challenge to the game.  Managing electricity and having to wait at the charger.  I don't know how long it takes a semi to recharge, but it is probably longer than 45 minutes.  This would eat away at the game clock to make your delivery.  So you'd have to plan ahead and how to charge your truck so you don't run out of time.

A little update for ones who has the Wielton DLC — in addition to existing dryvans and dump trailers, the container carrier is coming to the game. I expect a lot of tuning parts, the only downside is... I don’t use this kind of trailers in ETS very much after the platform-container combos were introduced ;D.

It has been a slow start to the year, but that is fine.  End of 2023 was PACKED full of things and surprised, including an entire Christmas Wonderland map.

I hadn't thought of that, but yes. Charging and EV truck would take much more time. Better obviously for short domestic runs over a long haul.  But if you add up the several hours of charging a truck EV needs (probably) and you only have 8hrs to delivery goods, you really need to plan your routes and how you handle them.

After the PACCAR Technical Centre has been added in 1.49, it’s time to introduce the similar location in ETS. So, the map for possible transfer of Scania Truck Driver Simulator driving school missions into actual ETS version is ready ;D.

Awesome, awesome!  It is an unmarked location near Södertälje in Sweden.  Good luck finding it. :D

I like how it is 1:1 scale, meaning we will have a lot of test track to drive.
