Are low-budget movies bad?

Not necessarily. Some movies were made with extremely low budgets, and were a success at the box office all the same.

Low-budget movies are only bad when said low budget prevents you from doing your own stuff.

For example, some time ago, it wasn't uncommon for low-budget movies to reuse action scenes from bigger-budget movies. Usually only two or three of those scenes would be pasted into a low-budget movie, back in those days.

However, some movies had such low budgets, that they had to go through a whole DVD collection to get footage.

You might think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. In 1999, such a movie, entitled "Stealth Fighter", was released. The list of movies it took scenes from, is enormous. Here it is, in chronological order.

1. Diamonds Are Forever (1971) Yes, the James Bond movie!
2. The Dogs of War (1980)
3. Iron Eagle (1986)
4. Bat*21 (1988)
5. The Hunt for Red October (1990)
6. Navy Seals (1990)
7. Flight of the Intruder (1991)
8. Interceptor (1992)
9. Blown Away (1994)
10. Clear and Present Danger (1994)
11. Crimson Tide (1995)
12. Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995)
13. Down Periscope (1996)
14. Executive Decision (1996)

Basically, this movie's a drinking game. Spot one of those movies, and DRINK A WHOLE BOTTLE! Not sure it'll make up for the money you wasted buying that piece of $#%&, but hey, whatever works for you. ;p

There's a story I wanna tell you guys.

I remember one particular school year.

I knew some big guy, and he'd always pick on me. Always. (He was also in my class the year before. DX)

That school year, most, if not ALL of my friends wound up in the same class as his. Well, guess what. That year, those friends stopped treating me like a friend. They always turned away from me, looked at me like I was an alien... things they wouldn't've done before. One kid in particular, would also go "UHH" every time I spoke to him, like I said something stupid. ALL THE TIME. It was like, being in the same classroom as that jerk, brainwashed them.

You might think I'm exaggerating about the brainwashing thing, but hear this. There's one guy in particular who was a pretty neat fella. Never the least bit of animosity between us.

And that year, he told me "I never was your friend". Which he said as he was standing right next to the "big guy". >_>

Eventually, I blew up. Near the end of the year, I blew up. All the anger I had, it hit me real hard. And I blew up. Seriously, blew up so bad, my mother had to pick me up from school.

The following year, the "big guy" was in another school. Most of the friends I mentioned, were back in my class. They started treating me better, and as the year went on, they gave me apologies, which I accepted.

In the end, just goes to show how bad an influence some people can be. Be careful who you hang out with. I'm not saying this just because I was a victim. But some people can make you think whatever they want of other people; make you hate people for no reason. And that's a terrible thing.
