Title: Game Shows
Post by: Blurr on 2016-08-04 11:52:06
Shows where contestants go on TV to try and win either a buttload of money or awesome prizes. Some are fun to watch, some are meh. You guys got any faves?

Mine is The Price Is Right.

Bob Barker on the "Price was Right."  Classic right there.  The new guy is good too.  My biggest dislike with the show is that there are WAAAAAYYYY too many commercials.

You DO know where Wipeout came from right? IT was America's attempt to create a type of game show in the style of Takeshi's Castle. An old Japanese game show from the 80's where people compete in crazy challenges. It was dubbed over comedically in American a couple decade later to give me one of my favorite dubs ever, MXC.

I did know that.  I am surprised it's as popular as it is.  I used to watch the dubbed Japanese versions just for laughs.  They played it on like... Spike or something at 2am.
