South Dakota is a lot of empty.  Very empty.  It will vary from plains to hills and craggy big rocks and mountainous badlands. :D

Meanwhile, the SCS staff works on Ford vehicles.
P.S. As I understand, the other vehicles of that brand, which already are in the game, will continue to carry the Frog/Tough logo ;D.

They've spent so much effort and time with American brands for ATS.  I wish the player count would increase a lot for them.  I hate seeing it just grow so slowly. It deserves far more.

Nice! I was wondering what would happen to the NPC cars as well.

Shreveport may be the biggest dump of a city I've ever been too.  It's not a nice place.  I think only Jackson City was worse.

They did a good job at making the city look good and way too nice. ;D

A new challenge for the map modellers — to make sure no landmarks were relocated before the release ;D. So, the church in one city mentioned a month ago in SCS Blog have been moved from its original site.
Luckily, the modern multi-wheel modules can perform this task wihout building the enormous number of rails, like on those old photos of building relocation.

Mammoet is indeed very famous for the heavy transportation. Their site mentions another Swedish village, where 47 buildings from 45 to 230 tonnes were moved.

The almost treeless landscape requires a very long drawing distance in flat areas.
Totally opposite to the tree walls from the earliest trucking games ;D.

I don't know what I am more excited about for ETS now.  Iceland or Nordic Horizons.  I wonder if they will increase the travel distances in Iceland otherwise it will be very small and limited with how many towns we can go too.  I think the game is 1/32 right now in ETS2?  Will they increase the drive distances since it is its own unconnected island?

Iceland will be much smaller than Nordic Horizons and smaller than England, Poland, France, Romania, Germany, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Kansas, Iowa, etc.  What I am saying is that it is small.  It will be similar in size to Czechia.

It will be similar in size to Czechia.
Even a little bigger ;D.

But of course, I believe the developers will pack there as much roads as they can (no more Nevada* road density!). As for the scale, both ETS and ATS have 1:20, while 1:35 (scale of the ATS dork age) proved to be too small ;D. Since the switch to 1:1 at every city entrance is always done seamlessly (so, no technical difficulties), and since the new DLC is going to be totally separated from the main territory, there is a chance we will see something like 1:10 exclusively for Iceland.

*BTW, today is a 90th anniversary of Hoover Dam dedication ceremony 8).

Just an easy to miss location in ATS, but the center of power in the game which is going to celebrate its 15th birthday very soon... nine days after MLP G4.

Iceland may seem too small.
