So out of touch, Dee.  I know people have explained this to you many times, but you keep going about with your own head canon.    Oh well. I'm not even going to try anymore explaining.

But isn’t lore expansion the reason why people stopped watching MLP as well as why the Brony fandom died between the mid-late 2010’s to early 2020’s in terms of how the MLP franchise in animation has been going since towards the end of Friendship is Magic Season 5 as people have been complaining about certain things from  MLP these days?

Here are some of the many times people answered you DEE.  I have nothing more to add.  Lore has absolutely nothing to do with it. 

It has nothing to do with whether they are good or not with character depth and world building.  It has everything to do with what their goal is with the show and their target audience.  Not everything has to have character depth and world building.  It depends on the situation, DEE.

^ Had nothing to do with the old brony fandom.  They've mostly ignored G5.  I would also say the old G4 irony resurgence has been pretty greta lately.  They healthiest it's been in years. 

As for G5, it just didn't garner the fans or money it wanted.  Has nothing to do with the brony community of G4.  G5 was it's own thing and attracted it's own fanbase and community.

I think you're getting too stuck on something you don't need to Dee.  Character development was not the downfall of MLP.

Not everyone wants character development all the time and not everyone wants lighthearted all the time. There is a balance.  It's why some shows do lighthearted and some do lore heavy. Some mix between the two.

Hence why many people stopped watching MLP between Season 5 to 6 which lead to the Brony fandom to decline in the first place.

I don't know where you are getting this point.  This is unfounded. 

But also over time, things will lose relevance and popularity.  It happens naturally.  Has nothing to do with depth or light hearted content. Also not everyone here is "you guys."  We are unique individuals with differing opinions.  You are making blanket statements.

The MLP community is strong with many people coming back from the G4 community.  It is rebounding.  Obviously it will never be what it once was, but it is ever expanding and drawing in new fans.  The community is always evolving.

Here's what people complained about which was around when the Brony fandom was majorly starting to decline.

- When Season 5 ended, people complained about Starlight reforming and continue doing so when the show started doing episodes focusing on her as she joined the cast after her redemption.
- When Season 6 came, people complained about the addition of Flurry Heart and the twist revealing that there is a good Changeling (Thorax) plus the Changelings reforming and showing more character.
- When Season 7 came, people were furious about the Pillars being revived due to it stomping the purpose of that the Pillars are supposed to be ancient.
- When Season 8 came, people complained about the addition of the School of Friendship, plus the Young Six being new characters who take the spotlight from the Mane 6 like they are the main characters now, plus also Cozy Glow being the villain instead of Chancellor Neighsay.
- Then when Season 9 came, people complained about Discord being Grogar the entire time and how they handled Sombra, Chrysalis, and Tirek in the final Season.
- Not to mentioned that people complained when the show changed it's status quo for the Cutie Mark Crusaders when they got their cutie marks and when Gilda reformed as many people preffered Gilda when she was mean.
- and now people are complaining about the stuff G5 has been doing after it's movie.

People have been complaining about MLP these days rather than finding it as one of the greatest things of all time which the latter was how they used to see MLP back during the early 2010's as the series has been trying too hard on it's lore and character development instead of focusing on friendship morals since the middle of the 2010's.

People complain.  You can't ever please everyone,  but this was not the downfall of the fandom as you claim.  The fandom hasn't gone away.  It's still around and still strong or else there wouldn't be hundred's of conventions around the world still. It wouldn't be a multi-million dollar franchise every year still.

Everything you listed, yeah, people complain about things, but the series ended naturally.  It had nothing to do with the fandom or character development. The show had run it's course and Hasbro was ready to invest in something else. The story of the Mane 6 had been told, hence why they added the Young Six.

Go to any MLP forum or subreddit and you don't see complaints as you claim.  You see people loving the show and the memories they had.  You also see people diving deep into character's and storylines trying to understand more or critique things.  A critique is not a complaint.

But we hardly see any more FIM merchandise in Hot Topic and lack of FIM memes and fan songs and fan animations on YouTube as those became less common around when FIM's fifth Season came in 2015, and it was around when people got upset at Starlight Glimmer's redemption.

But then there are people who say that Disney doesn't do good with lore and character development in their cartoon shows, with Star vs. the Forces of Evil being a prime example as a lot of people did stopped watching Star vs. because of how it shifted to becoming a lore and depth driven series, and many preferred Star vs. when it was episodic during it's first two Seasons.
