Well, I can add I have installed the
Viva La France DLC only a four months after it came out — back then I have not explored the most of other territory
.
And now, judging from «...% of players have this achievement» comments on game’s achievement page, a huge amount of players didn’t go in this game so deep, so more-late-than-usual release of the territorial DLC will be almost unnoticed for them
— even
the basic map is pretty large, especially if compared with first ATS map with two states and in 1:35 scale.
(Who would have thought a trucking simulator game topic would be the 6th most viewed topic in the gaming board of PSF!)
The sixth because it’s pretty fresh. If you look at the number of replies — it’s fourth
.
UPD:
So, the first impression: I LOVE ITS ENGINE BRAKE! Reminded me how three years ago I drove newest Scania with V8 and my favorite sound was the «trrrrrrrrr»-ing when you release the throttle at 1500 RPM on the high speed. Cascadia’s engine brake have even better song! And if it’s not enough — listen to Cascadia’s air horn, it can fill you with need to attach the RM or TP double and cosplay the train on the road
.
There is some detail I find weird-looking — that wide mirror mount, just compare it with 49
X!
(... but I understand that was made for better aerodynamic)Also, I can’t place any horns on short sleeper cab along with that spoiler, but you clearly see a lot of free room there:
But I love the fact they finally made more than three cabs for one truck, and the chassis for the short
sleeper is shorter than chassis for W900’s or 389’s daycab. Also, the amount of optional bumpers and sideksirts reminds me aforementioned Scania
. And we should say goodbye to second vertical exhaust pipe and 200 gallon tanks on daycab chassis — there is only 160 now. If compare with Mack, the latter have more black-or-chromed detail options than Cascadia, but the Freddy (or it’s Cassie?) have 600-hp engine and don’t require to widen the FOV to ridiculous numbers to see the left mirror
. Anyway, now we have the most popular truck, and I definitely like it more than Mack
.
P.S. I hope that they will made more Freightliner dealers later. A half of states even didn’t have them!
