UK is not a transit country, so there is not so much traffic — I think this explanation is a good enough ;D. Maybe today the «Going East!» DLC have more chances to have an upgrade, since last two expansion packs have brought there more drivers to/from Baltic and Black seas.

I am just sitting back here reading what you guys say, lol.  But redo's of Baltic and Eastern European countries is a smart idea since they are changing and many are upgrading their infrastructure.  More so than Western Europe which is already established and not in as much flux.

It might just be me or early work by the developers... but the city seems so lifeless.  There is no life (and that is an issue with many urban areas in SCS games).

I remember when ATS just came out and they touted LA being so alive.  And comparably it was.  It had many people and locations where people could be seen doing things, or walking on sidewalks.  Since then, most cities are pretty lifeless.  Not even so much as smoke coming from a chimney or some activity.  Job delivery places often have some people, but they really need to add some more.

The new skybox looks lovely.  I always loved the clouds in the game, and I really hope these new one's elevate it even more.

In addition, they promise to present a key to upcoming DLC for those who will guess all landmarks from this gallery. Since more than five hours have passed and tons of comments have been written, I think none of us have a chance ;D.

P.S. I love how mountains on the first and ninth screenshot look ^-^.

That is how the mountains should have been in Washington DLC and Oregon DLC.  They are adding it now, but WA and OR have far more mountainous views than what were in the game.

So here... imagine this.  When driving into Medford, Oregon then driving all the way to Portland, you would see mountains to your east mostly the entire drive.  Forest and mountains. Once you get to Vancouver, Washington and drive up I-5, you would have steep snow capped mountains to your east the entire drive.  When you get to Tacoma and then continue north towards Everett, you would see snowcapped mountains to your east AND west the entire drive.  Then continuing to Bellingham, you would drive right next to the mountain range (around Burlington in the game) all the way to Bellingham (even crossing a mountain pass) which is non-existent in the game.

The Madrid and Wyoming photos are great.  I am shocked they had so many photos for Wyoming.

They need to go back and upgrade the mountain ranges in the older maps.  Snow capped mountains are an all year thing in the American west.

Lovely new shots.

I'm excited about Iberia.  I know that one has to be coming out first... but I think SCS is much further in the development of Wyoming than we think.  I don't want to raise false alarms... but is it possible they could do 3 states in a year?  States that aren't as geographically diverse?  Wyoming is a start.

Will the year Texas comes out be a two state year?  I mean Texas is big... but it's geography isn't all that diverse.  Should be easier to make roads along flat lands with some scenery compared to something like Colorado, Washington, or Oregon, lol.  Those are much more geographically diverse.

Well, three US states and one European region seem to be a bearable task for SCS, but only if they will not make another game engine improvement, which can delay the release of these DLCs like new lighting did with Iberia.

Does that mean they will have to go back to BOTH older maps ETS2 and ATS to improve buildings and locations for the new game engine?  Will it just be done over time?  Do we even know?

ut is it possible they could do 3 states in a year?  States that aren't as geographically diverse?  Wyoming is a start.

It could be very possible based on the speed they have been shown to make things, especially when you have states like Oklahoma, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, etc.

That said, I wouldn't expect it though.

Eventually we will also have tiny states on the east coast (they could also do many states in a year this way too).  That will be interesting as to how they shrink things down.  It will probably seem more like an ETS2 map with more highways and only major cities with very little in-between.  We've been lucky with the larger western states.

Good point.  I never really thought about how condensed the map will be when they head out east and how much smaller they will be.  States like Rhode Island might only have one marked city or two.... wow.  How will they do that? Kinda a scary thought.

Totally a dumb thought I had in my head... really dumb.

Imagine if you had a food and water meter.  I don't want this in the game!  But just imagine if you did.... they could make you buy snacks at gas stations or make use of some of the restaurants being able to get food and water.

But again... I DON'T WANT THIS IN THE GAME.  Lol!  It was just a thought.

^ Interesting idea... but I also DON'T WANT THAT IN THE GAME.

I do wish the world was more interactive to some degree.  I get made when I see gas stations in the game I can't stop at.  Especially in unmarked town, you will sometimes see a gas station which could be useful, but the game won't let you use it.  It bugs me also at some intersections there are multiple gas stations, but they force you to only use one.  Let us stop at any gas station...
