I've been waiting to hear more about this system.  I know there is news coming out, and they are still changing things inside of it.  So far everything has been for the better, at least on paper.

So a week ago, many channels were able to review the Steam Deck hardware.  So far everyone has been overwhelmingly positive.

Soon we will learn more about the software.

I'm tempted with that base model then just install more memory space.  Nothing changes quality wise except the memory space.

Steam Deck's are starting to be delivered sometime this month.  The official launch is February 25th, 2022.  Maybe we will start seeing reviews tomorrow.

Reviews are coming in.  So far all overwhelming positive.

*They have a clickbait title, but they absolutely loved it.

I am real tempted to buy the cheapest one they have, then just add a very big memory SD card.  They can be had for so cheap now days.  I watched many of those reviews and everyone has the same positives.  The main negative is such a minor thing, which seems to be rumble support, which is lackluster.  I couldn't care less about that!  Lol! To have a game library of thousands of games instantly, this seems like a great buy.  Even stream games onto it or from it.  Very cool.

With the Steam Deck on the market and outselling expectations, we now officially have two major gaming 'console' players from Washington State, specifically in suburbs of Seattle.  Valve and Microsoft.

Sony and Nintendo are from Japan.

This interview with Gabe Newell is quite good on how they made the Steam Deck and future plans.

Gave Newell hand delivering several Steam Decks to people locally around Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, all of which are suburbs of Seattle.

He truly seems like a cool guy who really loved his product and what his company does!  I can get behind that.

I know right? :D  How cool.  The people who knew who he was were so excited and those two ladies who had no idea who he was were funny. ;D  But what a cool guy.

Same. They are too much money even though they aren't. ;D  I just don't want to spend that kind of money.

Reviews keep getting better as time goes on.  Valve has been working on continually improving the device to much approval from people.
