Something tells me this post had to be published earlier, because they are showing us the trailers shown in yesterday’s post ;D. No open beta for ETS 1.45 today, but, at least, we can check out the look of new European trailer. I can say I like the fact they can be fully paintable, and that green bulk trailer makes me laugh again — it looks like a mine cart with a roof.

Many people shift cameras if they choose to back up into loading areas as well.  I'm stubborn and don't. :D
Thanks to G27 wheel with its buttons under the thumbs, even the lazy people like me can switch between cameras in a blink of an eye. The same with people who plays with a gamepad.
But... attaching the trailer using only the mirrors is a really quickly learnable procedure. I see a lot of YouTube truckers can even park European doubles without external cameras, although the game don’t give any bonuses for that.

Also i have a question to all of you drivers...
Which camera you use to drive?
A. In the cab, behind the wheel
B. 3rd person view, so you see the whole truck and all directions
C. First person truck view, you see only what's infront of your truck and mirror view from sidemirrors
D. Truck view without mirror(i like to live dangerously)

When I first started the game I did C, but then I wanted to try and immerse myself and switched to A.  I haven't left A since.

I use purely the in-cab view.  When I first started I tried third person view like in any racing game, but it didn't feel the same. The truck felt too floaty for me at that height in camera view.

It looks like there is more colour choice on the ETS2 tankers, certain ones.  Something about me likes seeing the American trucks pulling a chrome tanker more than the Euro trucks. Must be nostalgia even though I never lived in America?  8)

I use A.  The drivers seat view.  I also have the side mirrors for my left angle on screen.

I was expecting much smaller changes in Hannover ;D. Also, for now the European tank trailers are available only as two- ot three-axle single, but they can be painted even in metallic! Dry bulk trailers have more chassis variation, and for some reason the Finnish HCT set is not a combination of two long trailers, but a B-Double with third trailer attached ::|. As for new Paper Liner, when you are buying it, the biggest visible difference is lack of double trailer option ;D.

I'm glad Hannover is OVER.  I can't wait to drive through it.  They really need to update all the German cities to be on par with the rest of the game's content.  Hope it comes sooner rather than later.  It's odd on the ETS2 side they seem to go one city at a time while with the ATS refreshes, they have entire regions done in the time it takes one city to be done in ETS2.  This might fall in line with more resources on the ATS side.

What a beautiful scenery here <3. Love these sunflowers, the wild ones look much better than generic space-fillers from old ETS map parts ;D.

MONTANA IS NO LONGER BLACK ON THE GAME MAP!  IT'S GRAY!!! :D

The photos are beautiful!  Wow!  What a beautiful state. Something about image 4/14 seems off to me.  I'm not talking about the overly stiff mountain goats.  I'm talking about how that mountain looks and the trees.  It seems too uniform or something. The mountain too narrow?  I don't know, it seems weird.

I wish I knew where this spot was in real life to compare it.

Image 13 might be my favorite.

If you think this mountains are beautiful, wait till SCS redoes the mountains in Washington in Oregon.  It theoretically should blow away anything we've seen.  It's amazing how much they've changed their modeling since those states.

Those are some awesome roads.  These photos are from Logan Pass in Glacier National Park.  Having been on the route, it is a gorgeous drive.  It can be a bit jarring how high you are from the valley floor, even a bit scary.  I can't imagine how it feels for truckers (which aren't actually allowed on the route).

I tried to look for some exact photos to compare to the game pictures, but then just went nuts with some random photos along Logan Pass, Montana.  It's STEEP and mountainous.

Because Logan Pass isn't a US interstate, it has different standards for how the road was built.  In the US, all interstates are a certain width, and only elevate at a certain grade. They also have a certain limit to their turn radius to allow for traffic to remain at a constant high speed.

Logan Pass will be elevated, curvy, and fun!

Shame to me. ;D When I took a look on the beta I didn’t pay attention to this, despite it can be visible even on the map comparison I have shown (not much, only small spot in the corner). I am now catching up the level in ETS (34, when in ATS I am close to 38  ;D), so I hope to return to ATS right before the release.

OR and WA also were the big step ahead compared to CA and NV ;D. Since their map team is constantly growing, we can expect the further growth of map quality [excited].

Think of the quality of the map by the time they get to Maine. ;D  It will be insane compared to the original California. ;D

They will still need a lot of workers for modelling that dense road network in Eastern states, so I am afraid to think how much time it will take.

They can save time and just make it a giant parking lot.  You have to delivery goods to different parking spots. ;D
