Truck Driver: The American Dream Release Date, New Story Trailer

SOΞDΞSCO is pretty excited about the coming months as the have a lot of big reveals for a small studio.  They are going all in on their game Albatroz, and Truck Driver: The American Dream.  They believe in it.

Truck Driver: The American Dream dream now has a release date of September 2023.  No exact day yet.  They revealed it in a new story-trailer.

This game looks so bad. It looks so outdated and the story aspect truly does not interest me.  Maybe I am just not the target audience.  SCS has spoiled us with ATS.

They also have a company "Developers" monthly news thing that talks about the American Dream and the new Driving North Expansion to the first Truck Driver game.

Well, it’s already a tradition to make an announcement of new Special Transport routes as the last post before the release. Anyway, some screenshots with new landmarks will not hurt ;D.

Also, I heard there are new sounds for trailers in beta version. Since there is only a week before new state release, I believe we will get the 1.48 release before.

Truck Driver: The American Dream really isn't interesting me.  What shocks me is in the comments of their videos, you see nothing but people being very excited for it.  What are they seeing?  Is this console players who don't have any other options being excited for some reason?  I am truly at a loss.

There will also be the release post with possibly a gameplay trailer. They also like to do a stream or two as well.  Then we move on to Kansas.

As for the new sounds, those are coming.  There is also rumor again of a new truck coming to ATS.  A teaser has been thrown in the game.  On the screen of a Telsa type ai vehicle is an image of the new Kenworth T680.  So speculation is growing once again.

It has been pretty much confirmed since 2022 this truck was coming to the game, but we just didn't know when.  In 2022, SCS went to Mount Vernon and Bellevue, Washington to the PACCAR office and facilities to check out the new trucks, grab new sound, etc.  [excited]

I'm excited, even if this might be one of the smaller states. I am sure they will make it very enjoyable.

I didn't think Wyoming would be all that exciting being such an empty state, and yet it is one of my favorites.

The Chimney Rock is too obvious sign ;D. So, the next state after Kansas will be Nebraska (no Canadian or Mexican parts announced yet :(). I doubt it will be released this year, so... will 2024 be a first year with three states, like... Nebraska and both Dakotas?

Kansas might come sooner than we realize.  They were working on it quite heavily in 2022.

Don't expect Canada or Mexico for a very long time.  It's not even in their current plans.

I mean, I'm as about as excited as one can be for these kind of states that all are sort of the same in the middle of the country.

I guess what I like is that I learn more about them when we focus on them for X amount of months during the hype phase.

I fully expect both Dakota's to be lumped together for some reason, even though they maybe don't deserve it if other states that are similar didn't get lumped.

BTW, I don’t even remember the speculation what exactly new countries are planned to be added after West Balkans.
There are not so much options to choose ;D.

That's the problem, there isn't much.  Outside of Greece and expanding north in the Nordic countries, or going to eastern Turkey, I just don't see much.  The blockade of Russia is preventing us from going east there as well and I don't see Ukraine being added to the game anytime soon.

The one major thing ETS2 has over ATS at this point is the amount of locations they can rebuild.  So much of the map is still 'old' SCS map building.

Outside of map expansions, both games can truly focus on company mechanics and improving the customizability of our truck headquarters, or how we hire drivers.  Give us more statistics for our company if we choose to focus on that part of gameplay. There are many opportunities.

But as we saw from this image, they might be teasing future locations they want to go.  Notice all the pin drops on the map to locations we haven't been. Iceland and Ireland really stand out.

Also I noticed that they have Crimea as part of Ukraine.  Nice little nod SCS. ;)

I like this new little icon SCS uses for their "on the road" blog posts.

A a uniting piece of the logo, I like how the semi truck is split down the middle being a US variant and Euro variant truck.  The background unites the trucks a s well because the US variant is over Europe and the Euro truck is over the United States.

Something to note about the map is that the map shows Iceland, and sort of shows Russia.  It also shows Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.  Is this telling us that is their ultimate goal to build for these areas?  Or is it just a map just for designs sake.  There is also a pinpoint on Ireland!!!

If it was the ultimate goal to show countries that aren't in the game yet, being marked, it is interesting how on the United States side, we only see the United States.  No Mexico.  No Canada.  It is just the USA.
