Time for some update news.
Un-heard of weather events hit Pacific Northwest. At least two tornadoes strike Oregon coast in never-before seen events.
LinkOne of the tornadoes ripped through the coastal village of Manzanita tearing up ten blocks and damaging buildings and businesses.
What makes these events so weird as the Pacific Northwest never gets tornados or major storms, so this was a big shock to the region. Tornadoes don't usually start in such a mountainous region. Even weirder, these tornadoes started in the water then hit landfall. No reports of any deaths.
The region isn't out of the storm warnings yet, as a
stronger storm is to hit the region Friday night into Saturday with stronger winds. The coast could see winds hit 70mph and above and inland regions like Seattle and Portland could see 60mph. Power outages are expected. No deaths or major injuries yet in this three storm punch to the region known for mild weather all year round.
