I'm gonna be on a lot less than normal thanks to my computer going kaput. So I'm trying to manage with my phone but I can only use so much data.

That bites. As for the phone, you have wi-fi on that thing? Try using that when you can to keep the data use down.

My laptop that I use to write all my stories had an issue with the keyboard due to some water spillage on my end. Though the good new is, on Wednesday I took it to the computer repair shop. They are ordering parts and hopefully in a week I will have my computer back and can write again!

Ahaha, that feel when you realize your stuff could be discovered..... Or stef yet, they ask you to open a file so they can see the computer works.
I had a similar situation with my friend when I let him draw on my computer tablet. He went to save it and I realized I had a bunch of bad pony drawings and I kept across the room and snatched it from his hands. He thought I was hiding porn.

I try to never let anyone use my stuff. Even though it is not named obviously, it could still easily be found. I'm always amazed some people just hand me their laptop and don't care about their files on it. I guess some people just have no secrets.

Ah. The way I name my stuff is by self deprecating in the title. Like "that really shitty RD story". On my G-docs it's named appropriately, but yeah, no one goes on my side of G-docs.
Some people I guess trust enough that no one will go snooping, or they have their porn really well hidden. And they use incognito for all their devious searching.

The problem with my computer is mostly the battery and charger. Even with the charger plugged in the thing won't stay on and the battery won't charge at all. So I ordered a replacement a couple nights ago. If that doesn't work, then I'm gonna have to get my hard drive recovered and a new laptop. I will keep you guys posted

Same with me actually. Charger issues. I have to hold it a certain way for it to charge but it seems the charger is busted for good. I have to find a new one, but the brand is really not your usual brand so it's been hard trying to find the right model.

well I got a new battery hoping that would be enough to do it but unfortunately it wasn't...so it was pretty much a waste of 23 bucks. So I had to go out and buy a new laptop instead. I was able to get what I needed from it and now I am back online.

I bought with the laptop an external hard drive. The old one stayed alive long enough for me to pull what I needed off it.

Me too. I probably won't use the tablet form a lot. I prefer having a laptop with actual buttons to press and not a touch screen.

Because it was the most affordable choice out of the ones I could pick up on the same day I bought it online. Maybe I will use it, maybe I won't. We'll just see in the future.

It makes plenty of sense. I wanted a computer right at that moment and didn't want to wait for shipping. SO i browsed through the selection they had available to come pick up as soon as I placed the order. This one was the best one to me. Plus I really like the silver look and how thin it is.

That's just plain impatient. Honestly. Was it severely urgent you needed your computer now? I mean, I know I need mine NOW because I have homework I have to do and assignments and applications to fill out that are due within days, but I'm still shipping one because it's like, the cheapest option for me.
Whatever, I was raised differently on how to use money.

yes I admit that. I was impatient and being on my phone all the time wasn't really sitting well for me and that data plan I'm on. But I looked at the ones I would have had to wait for. The specs on a lot of them are the same as this one and they cost either the same price or more. So I just figured why wait?
Plus my Tax return is on the way and it will recover a little over half of what I spent.

Why not just use your phone with wifi? When you use wifi you don't use the data plan.
And there are plenty of cheap computers and stuff.

I don't want to punish or state my views too much, but I have never made a purchase that big without studying my options and reviewing every single thing about all the computers. I test each one, look at all the specs, and choose the one right for me. Patience is a virtue.
Hopefully it is a good laptop.
