Not news, but I found this to be interesting. It's a click and point adventure game, only about 5 minutes long:
We Become What We Behold.
Nice representation of how the media works.

Just saying, gurl. But aren't you usually the one who says we shouldn't post the same thing in two threads? ;)

That ape choose a mate on tablet was weird.  I guess to see which traits a certain ape likes?  Odd.

Well, I don't know about that, but it will help alleviate back pain and pressure from gas problems....

Dumb crooks rob veterinary clinic and make off with "oxycontin"; grab a bunch of labor-inducing meds by mistake

So if couple of guys turn up at the e.r. complaining of milk squirting from their nips, the cops will have their oxy thieves.    :-[

But, really, stealing meds from a vet clinic is pretty low....     >:(

This goes to show how stupid the government is.  They've been warned for a very long time in California about the Oroville Dam.  And now they are worrying because it is about to burst.  They are doing emergency fixes now... why didn't they fix it before?  Oh right, because of their negligence in spending.  They have probably held it off as long as they could because they "didn't have the budget to protect people's lives."  The government of California is the perfect example of stupidity and is the epitome reason the state is going bankrupt.  The spend money like water.... oh what a fitting statement.

You know, all that talk during Obama's administration about infrastructure and "shovel-ready jobs"... did any highway see repair or one bridge get fixed? Not my street, that's for sure. Between a streetlight that was burned out for the better part of two years and potholes so big you could lose a small car in one, the road I live on is downright dangerous and full of blind spots and bad patches.  I just noticed yesterday that the stop sign on my corner is missing, and the pole it was on bent over double.   We've lost a few neighborhood dogs to drivers who can't see too well on it at night, and my biggest concern is that some little kid might be struck by a careless driver on one of these back-roads.
