Advent Rising.

They had a whole trilogy planned with a preemptive expanded universe already out, but the one~~~ thing they overlooked was that games aren’t supposed to launch with swarms of crippling bugs.

It’s really fun on the odd day that it works. You got all sorts of space magic, interesting writing, an alien who’s name sounds like Barack Obama, and the coolest reloading animation of all time. To be continued never.

The Saboteur, Star Wars: Republic Commando, Vanquish, Battle Engine Aquila, TWEWY and Skies of Arcadia.

Maybe Ghost Trick too, but I'm not sure if I really want a sequel for that title...

And most of them are not good.
Even the Sonic Adventure games have been argued to be not so good. Didn't age well.

Grim Fandango and BRÜTAL LEGEND (Starring Jack Black and a rocking soundtrack) are a few others.

I'd honestly like a direct sequel to DK 64. What happened to characters like the the massive K. Lumsy or the mermaid lady or the fairy?

At the very least though, King K Rool did reference the game in his final smash in the Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

The first two games I thought of were Bully and Drive Club.

Also not sure if this counts... but Pokemon Snap!

Bully is definitely on the list of superior games not having a sequel.

Before RDR 2 came out, I would have said Red Dead Redemption.

Grim Fandango.

Ico.

Shadow of the Colossus.

Minecraft doesn't have a sequel. ;)

Awesome to see that Bully is a popular choice.  I absolutely agree.  One of the few open world games where you got to know even minor characters by name and every corner on the map felt like it had a purpose.

Best game ever made in my opinion, I cried when I finished it.

Easiest question to answer.  BULLY.

That game came out in 2006 and it's fan following is still massive if not growing.  People want to revisit something like it, and Rockstar can do it.

Might be harder though with how different our world is and people being offended with everything and school threats... :(
