Oh, pears... The only way to see a nice pear in my childhood was to buy it, the ones in my orchard liked to start rotting when they were solid green ;D.
The plums were even worse :-0.

Haha!  I have a pear tree too and the birds always got to them before they could ripen to eat!  So never got to eat one of my pears! My aunt had the sweetest pears in the world.  I think they were called Asian Pears or something?  I don't know... she called them that.  They were round and yellow (not typical pear shape) and had little spots.  Same happens to my apples, but all my apples are pretty sour...

My neighbor always gave me bags full of plums. :D  I love plums.

(This is also the 2000th post of the month!!)

One of my grannies’ homeland has a lot of wild pears which are small and bitter, so almost noone collects them — those trees are used mostly for green walls along the road ;D, at least they don’t break as often as old poplars (which, in addition, pollute everything around with their fluffed seeds, making some people to do the this-forum-related things ==>:), when those seeds are flying).

Speaking of numbers...

Six fours in a row are coming. I hope somebody will make a screenshot this time (I missed four hundred thousand some time ago ;D).

Is it bad I don't care?  They have been a long declining community and are irrelevant to us.

It's weird how people come here and post asking us if we know why the blue forum is down.  Why would we know?  lol.

I too always found it kind of weird people always come here to ask what happened when the blue forum is down... like... why would we know?  We left that place to come to a better place.  They are only posting here because they don't have that place anymore and don't realize how much they are missing out on here.  It's like we only exist to be a troubleshooting forum.  They aren't true members!

You took it to a whole new level, Soda.

Why would we care?

There is some tiny bit of reasoning to care.  Nostalgia mainly... and it is still a "hub room" for people finding the sneeze community.  But from there, they branch off to their respective "homes,"  aka other communities.

It's just being held by gum and tape now.  It's a mess.

They might make a good compost... of food for animals like a horse... or pig?

Maybe they could be squeezed to a juice?  A VERY sour juice. ;D

I imagine the pears ripen, fall off, decompose, and make good fertilizer for the soil around the tree.  Farmers could come and gather up some of that pear-dirt in buckets and use it for their own land. An enterprising soul could make an agreement with the owner of the property to sell it.  All-natural pear-tree fertilizer...cut it with shredded cedar chips, make a dandy compound.
