They say that the estimated release date is in April, so we probably will have enough time to test new truck chassis in ATS and new lighting engine in both games ;D. I wonder when Wyoming will go out in that case ::).

I just realized that most of the roadways in ETS 2 have no advertising billboards.  I know they are banned in many countries, but it shocked me to see the adverts in this update.  They did a great job with them.  Just as cluttered and distracting as they really are. ;D

There is no info about Ukraine and Belarus, so probably the next DLC will go southeast from 2018 expansion lands. Therefore, as the information from game-related forums says, the region where SCS activity was spotted is already as big as Iberia, although its northern part doesn’t have much of highways:
I see some city is really dominating over everything else ;D, so if you need to go from (for example) Ryazan to Vladimir, you will either drive 90-70-90-70 km/h (like in Baltic or Poland!) on the narrow road with a really scary and dangerous shoulder:

or use the normal highway, which will make you see Moscow anyway ;D.

YES!  ONWARD TO RUSSIA!  (Not during winter)  I want to explore the land of Vlad and Stalin!  I want to greet many babushkas and dance with gopniks!  This will be fun!  I truly look forward to this because it is a world rarely explored (outside of zombie video games), and will be totally different to the societies shown in ETS 2.

I wonder if there will be any pot holes that can swallow a truck hole?  I better get a dash cam.

Honestly, the more dangerous roads, the better!  ETS2 lacks really dangerous and hard roads.  They've slowly been adding some, but still not enough!

YESS!!!!!!

Depending on how much they've been working on... is t possible that Russia is much further along then we think?  Maybe a release around Christmas 2021?   Two ETS 2 DLC's in one year?  Is that possible?  Will all those initial complainers about ETS2 DLC not coming out when they thought stop whining and complain? :D

I am really excited to see this westward move.  I hope we eventually GO further north into the arctic regions of Europe as well.   Going to remote places would be fun.

Speaking about dashcams, in my memories they are strongly associated exactly with the type of roads from this screenshot — I have seen too many deadly crashes with that scenery :o.

I have never been to Russia but I have been close... Finland. :D

It seems like most rural Russian road dash cams have the same scenery.  Long road in the middle nowhere, surrounded on both sides by trees.  I hope it isn't "boring" and hopefully some silly little towns along the way.

@timmelon I hope that wasn't something you captured, lol!  That looks horrifying.  Did it end horribly?

The van managed to avoid the collision, but it still went off the road. It’s from YouTube compilation (called «Big Truck of Punishment»!, 18+).

Oh thank goodness.  I can imagine how remote some of those roadways are, it's a long time for help to come and an even longer time to take the injured to a hospital.

Thanks.

I've been on Google Maps following this random Russian highway and I swear it's been hundreds of miles with nothing more than a dirt pull out to sleep on.  That is a long way without services!  I just happened to choose the most remote road, lol.

Also, dashcam is helpful when you see some freaks who use their cars inappropriately ;D.

This is more exciting to me then Iberia because it's so different!  It isn't like the rest of europe.  It's more rustic if you will like eastern europe.

I cannot believe the amount of complaining from the ETS2 community in the posts under the blog.  How disgusting. :P  So many ungrateful people who will never be happy.  They are complaining that the Balkans aren't being done or how Ukraine or Belarus aren't in it.  Come on guys... things take time.  They can't do it all at once.  Geez...

I really don't see this in the ATS community.  They are happy all the time with whatever seems to happen so far.

Personally I am super excited about this!
