I so want to see this new Disney film called, ZOOTOPIA.
I immediately thought of you guys for some reason when I saw this film's trailer! The bunny looks so cute and I love the fox. So this topic is for this upcoming Disney film.
ZOOTOPIA TRAILER (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWM0ct-OLsM)
Short Film Clip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8hYj0ROMo4)
I can tell I am gonna go fan crazy for this.
-
OH YES! We totally need more anthromorphic talking animals. lol!
-
This looks pretty good, actually. I hope it is a success.
-
I'm really looking forward to this too.
I love the fox's personality from the trailers. Hopefully he's really funny in the movie!
-
Look how society has changed and how this film promotes it. Just on that image itself, look at all the smart phones.
-
I was looking for the smartphones mentioned by FoxTail. The first thing I saw was the Starbucks cup in the upper right... :p
-
I noticed that too XD
-
It looks good, but I am sensing it is going to try and promote to people that Disney is no longer traditional and going diverse. I could be wrong, but it seems like it.
The designs so far are great, and that city is super cool to look at and break apart. :)
-
I've seen trailers. It looks funny.
-
I'm so going to see this. I wanna see "Inside Out" but I haven't seen that yet. I love Pixar films.
Zooptopia is not Pixar.
-
I have a link where you can see the whole movie (don't worry, no viruses) if you want to see it. It was a good movie.
-
Seriously? I didn't know that was possible to do. Sounds pretty cool to be honest =) You could show the link if you want to.
-
I have a link where you can see the whole movie (don't worry, no viruses) if you want to see it. It was a good movie.
Lets not be doing that. ;) Legal.
Support the artists.
-
Oh yeah it's possible. A website called kisscartoon.com. It's where I watch We Bare Bears and Steven Universe when I don't catch it on TV.
It can be slow at times, but what you do is click the button "turn off the lights" and it blackens the area where all the ads are so the videos load faster. That's another thing, you have to turn Adblock off, but it's a pretty safe site, I haven't gotten any viruses from it.
And okay Darrin. I won't link to the movie.
-
I'll see this movie when it comes to Red Box.
-
Yeah I'll just wait to torrent
-
Blurr... You should support the movie.
-
I may go see it in theatres with my nephew. That counts as supporting
-
Yeah. At least see it in theaters before finding it online. That's what I do.
-
If its a movie I actually look forward to, I see it in theatres then buy the blu ray
-
Wow, cool. I don't have a blu-Ray player though.
-
ps4 has one built in
-
I got a PS4. I use it for Blu Ray, Netflix, and some games. I am not on ever though.
-
I know that ps4 has bluray built in. I however, have no ps4
-
I got a PS4. I use it for Blu Ray, Netflix, and some games. I am not on ever though.
PSN name?
-
At first I thought you were a new member XD
Jeez 3P. Did you draw that parrot?
-
PARROT!
-
I wouldn't be surprised if you did haha
-
That is a very well drawn bird if that is the case
-
I like the Sombrero
-
reminds me of those disney mexi birds
-
Oooh, I think I know what you're talking about.
-
The three Cabrellos
-
Yes! That is what I was thinking
-
I have a friend who used to wear a suit of them at disneyland
-
Wow. Must have been pretty hot having to wear that.
-
especially in the summer
-
I can imagine. Ugh, the smell of those suits.. ugh
-
I never asked about THAT detail
-
I hope they wash those.
-
It's Disney. I would think they take care of their employees well being and sanitation
-
Hm, true. Have you watched Confessions of a Disney Employee though?
-
no i have not
-
You should. They are so funny.
-
hehe i do like funny
-
Go watch it. The youtube guys name is Swoozie
-
This was my reaction "Finally a furry movie.... The character design could be a lot better..."
-
PFFFFFFFT. Oh shit thats right. The furrys are probably happy as hell.
-
PFFFFFFFT. Oh shit thats right. The furrys are probably happy as hell.
Yeah finally a true furry movie o.o but yeah while I'm thrilled, I'm also a tad disappointed. The design and such
-
Whats wrong with the designs?
-
Some designs are odd, but personally I like most of the designs. They are different than most other anthro designs out there right now.
-
to each their own I guess
-
"Finally a true furry movie"?
What about Robin Hood, Kung Fu Panda, The Great Mouse Detective, and other such movies?
Or were furries just super hyped that there was finally a new one out?
-
Huh....yeah thats true
-
I never got that. There was a tumblr post that TOTALLY made fun of the whole "first real furry movie!" comments. It was pretty great lol.
-
Hehe. Tumblr has a lot of good stuf
-
I agree, but Tumblr is also just a little crazy too with so much going on all at once ^^; *just created a tumblr and I feel overwhelmed XD*
-
Stay away from the femanazis, the SJW and the self entitled land whales. Don't go near them, and you'll have a good enough time.
Though I question why you recently made one, don't you have a busy week? Lol, not the smartest time to make a tumblr XD
-
tumblr is........................ugh I don't have any good words to describe it. Tumblr is full of assholes who get boners for putting down other talented people with anon masks because they're all pussies who have no balls to do it without the mask.
.........other than that its fun.
-
I hate Tumblr. It's a god awful place. That place would allow Child Porn if it weren't illegal. That's how bad it is.
It's sickening. And then there are the people who "fight for equality" by putting down the other gender, or harassing and bullying others into suicide.
-
yup you pretty much nailed it
-
It's just... Tumblr is one of the few things that gets me legitimately angry. Not just annoyed and just sad for it's existence, actually angry.
-
ZOOTOPIA! Thats what this topic is.....
-
Right, right, back on topic.
-
It is getting closer.
-
I may see it. I may not
-
I want to, but college.
-
JOOOOOOOOOB. Get one. Get money. Money is fun. you can do stuff with it
-
(Wrong topic cuz I'm stupid)
No, as in I prefer to study and do a good job in college. I have money. But I also don't have a car.
-
Do you have a license?
-
Yea. That doesn't mean I have a car, bitch lol
-
Hey I didn't know.
-
Pardon my intrusion in this wonderful conversation, but you went off-topic again.
Blurr didn't make a thread for nothing, you know. :P
-
....................................I think the sloths in the trailer were funny
-
They are. The different characters reaction to the sloth was funny.
-
That fox just didnt give a fuck and the rabbit was just, HURRY UP ASSHOLE
-
Yes, I loved that. That head desk.
It makes sense for the type of animals they are. Rabbits are speedy and I imagine her preferring to have stuff done quickly. While fox's are a bit more layed back.
-
So I just got back from seeing it........
.................................I never expected to like a furry movie so much.
-
Jesus frickin Christ.
Why are people still callin it a furry movie.
It's a movie about anthro animals. It's not like it's anything new Disney has done. Disney has done anthro animals before, and they weren't called "furry movies" before. Honestly, the fact that people didn't want to see if because it is a "furry movie" is stupid.
Ugh, anyway. I look forward to seeing it. I hear it's a good movie.
-
It's not a FURRY MOVIE! Aghhh! Remember when Disney used to only make ANTHRO cartoon animals films? Thats what this is, but in CGI.
Any sneezes in the film, Blurr?
-
Exactly. Jesus Christ, I hate it when people call it "a furry movie". It's not about furries. It's not a furry movie.
Although did you hear the news that apparently a furry orgy broke out in the middle of the screening of the movie someplace?
-
What distinguishes a "movie about anthros" from a "furry movie". Aren't they essentially synonyms?
Or is the expectation that a "furry movie" involves spontaneous orgies onscreen as well as off? Or unpleasantly colored hybrid snowflake OCs?
Because I think that's a tad silly; I'd count those older movies as falling within the broader aegis of the furry fandom, even if the label post-dates them.
-
I'd call a furry movie if it were a movie about furries.
Also, this is a family movie. It wasn't made for furries. Saying its a furry movie makes it seem like it was made solely for the entertainment of furries. Which it isn't. Sure, furries can enjoy it, but calling it that will put people off. It also I feel does a huge disservice to the movie, making it seem they're only doing this for furries and it's only stuff a furry would enjoy. It feel like the label is limiting the movie. When it's obviously so much greater than what that label implies.
-

:/
Then I think we probably just have different baggage/connotations associated with the term "furry".
Though I do understand where you're coming from, which is probably why I used the term "furry fandom" later in my post, since I see that less ambiguously as denoting a broad church.
I guess I'm just not willing to cede the term to the channers; to be a term of unmitigated derision. Though I grant that might be a lost battle, like I've come to accept with the "hacker" vs. "cracker" term conflation.
-
jesus calm down chica I was saying it with jest
-
I'm pretty sure this was just a movie for families... and last time I checked, kids and people like animals... so humanized animals? That is totally an okay thing without it being called... THE F WORD. ;)
-
So, I cede that using TV Tropes as an authoritative source of definitions is, uh, not very rigorous. But Zootopia's characters are pretty clearly within the category that TV Tropes calls Petting Zoo People (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PettingZooPeople). And the aritcle goes on to say:
Petting Zoo People are also commonly referred to as "Furries". Fans of these are also commonly known as "Furries".
I guess I'm trying to point at a distinction between "furry" and "yiff" (or other Creepy stuff). Media can be "furry" and entirely family friendly. Or family-unfriendly on the basis of violence alone. When someone says "this is a furry movie" I hear it as a shorthand for "this movie features characters that are furries[Petting Zoo People]", not "this movie is tailored for an audience of furries[Subculture]".
I'm not aware that an example of the latter even exists.
Certainly "furry movie" can be used as a term of derision, but I don't think it's safe to assume that's the intent of the speaker, unless it's clear in context.
-
Oh, this isn't against furry people. There are curries who do bad and good. We know that, just like bronies or any other fandom. I never knew the word furry until just a few years ago. I would just see cartoons animals and think COOL or NOT COOL. Would "Regular Show" be classified as furry fuel too? I don't know because the term "Furry" is relatively new to me.
Just in the sense of this film, I still just view it as cartoon animals as I think 99% of the country would.
-
I saw this movie and no, there's no sneezing
Awww.
You liked the movie?
-
I thought there was a messy-sounding sneeze from the yak? At least, that's how it sounded to me.
The movie was amazing, regardless. Really deep and relatable story, really strong morals. Definitely one of Disney's best, in my opinion. I really want to go out and see it again sometime this week.
-
I will definitely see this, when it comes to Red Box. ;)
-
I kinda wanna see it again with my nephew
-
Seems like the consensus is that it was good. :)
-
The yak did sneeze in the movie :) it was quick and if you blink you might miss it XD
I saw the movie and I honestly really enjoyed it! :D I liked the morals part a lot, and the main rabbit voice was awesome for her character. Matter of fact, all around the entire cast voices were great. I was stunned shakira herself voiced the singer. I know her best from voice talent TV shows or her Spanish songs. I am happy she was in the movie, and that song...gets stuck in your head XD
I was honestly thinking about what the plot of the movie would be a few months ago...honestly the ending was not too far off of my initial thoughts so that made me excited that I was close to the real thing XD
If you have a cheap theater nearby it is worth the dollars. I got lucky and went during a cheaper hour in the morning. The ticket was 4.50 instead of 7...movie theaters eat so much money with food or drinks, it is better to just see the movie without anything. Granted I am just a poor college student so I couldn't afford 5 dollars for popcorn or 3 dollars for a candy bar ^^;
-
Thanks for that awesome review!
-
Thanks for that awesome review!
wow that was fast. You're welcome! :) I am glad someone read my wall of text ^^
I recommend seeing the movie. It's a fun sight to watch ^^ I would see it again if I had time this week.
-
Thanks! It was nice to get a perspective from you. :)
I always do the morning tickets, cheap. :) I try to smuggle in my own snacks and a water. ;)
-
Nice way of reviewing it without spoilers.
And yeah, like Silver said. I smuggle in my own food all the time. There's nothing bad about it. You still payed for the food. The money just didn't go to the movie theater. You already bought tickets. Should be enough haha.
-
I am also a serial food smuggler. And I've not a shred of guilt!
-
Oh shit I forgot about the Yak guy lol
Aww I wish Nick would've sneezed. I'd love to see it lol. This makes me want a sick story about him now lol
Someone on the blue forum asked this very request. Was it you? XD
In all seriousness though, nick may not be the guy I liked most but I would be willing to try a cold story sometime if you wanted to do something sneeze related for me in return :)
-
Trades are fun!
-
What is the female bunny's name? I wanna see her sneeze.
-
I want to do this trade and I will try to, but I can't today, tomorrow, or Friday :( I can't... I sent you a note :)
-
I like the female bunny. She is cute. They are all well designed.
-
My town's theater offers deep discounts on popcorn if you go on certain days and bring your own bowl. I'm thinking about trying to game the system and bringing in progressively bigger containers each time I go. "Hey, show me where your sign says there's a size restrictions on your offer. No, this old toilet I scrounged from my neighbor's home remodel site is a perfectly acceptable container. The word "bowl" is right in the name-- toilet bowl." Later I'll be calculating how big a hand truck cart I need to move a whole bathtub about....
-
Ahahahahaha XD
That's priceless
-
Lol. Go for it Nostradmus! Thats awesome!
-
I know Zootopia is not a furry film... but I just found this, LINK (http://www.buzzfeed.com/katienotopoulos/proof-disney-is-actually-marketing-zootopia-to-furries#.wdznezoKM).
"Furries have been speculating that Disney’s latest animated movie, Zootopia, is tailor-made for them. And apparently they’re not wrong. BuzzFeed News has obtained an email that a marketing agency working with Disney sent to the furry Meetup group Furlife, encouraging furries to post photos of themselves in fursuits to Twitter and Instagram with the movie hashtag, even offering posters or movie swag to those who do."
Still it is not a furry film. Just this marketing firm knew who to go too. This film is no different then older Disney films that had animal characters like Robin Hood or something else.
-
How can they say "furries are not wrong that the film was 'tailor-made' for them" and then support that strong statement with evidence of... a little peripheral social media marketing? Something that would have taken the smallest fraction of the movie's total marketing budget, and the result of a decision taken by a third-party marketing agency at that.
Buzzfeed: source of sober news and home of the thoughtful.
EDIT:
Oh, and they don't get even 2 paragraphs in before breaking into OMG PERVERTS. Even better the article is then structured as a series of "gross thing you might think", "haha not really", "but maybe... *eyebrow wiggle*" beats that paint a black picture while letting the author counter any criticism by saying he didn't actually /say/ that.
In the case of Zootopia, furries’ bad rap is undeserved. It might seem like furries are just so twisted that they’ve adopted an innocent children’s movie for their own sick gratification. But in reality, Disney purposely is being a knot-tease.
"Haha! See! I meant the opposite of the thing I just said!"
I mean, really, could you any more blatantly be saying something while technically saying the inverse? And also while talking complete nonsense (in what bizarro universe could Disney possibly be construed as being a purposeful cock-tease here?)

I like your commentary.
The fact that anyone uses Buzzfeed as a source is very goofy. I had a Forbes article, but you had to subscribe to see it, so I didn't link it.
-
I can already smell the shitton of Oscars this movie is gonna win next year
-
There was a video on YouTube that goes in depth in debunking this persons article. I can't find it anymore though :/
-
I guess I am waiting till this comes out to rent. I've had no time to see it.
-
It might turn up at one of the free cartoon websites... I've noticed quite a few CGI movies turning up online: Bee Movie, The Croods, all the new Chipmunks films....
Here's a funny comic (http://www.sandraandwoo.com/2016/03/28/0772-impossible-beauty-standards/) that references Zootopia. Hm... while the look is striking, cleaning those ears would take awhile. Personally, I think pointy dog ears (http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--7YdM80Rq--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/18dwzn7ihtduljpg.jpg) would look much cuter on a gal.... like a sexy pixie.

Lol! That was a good one.
-
I still need to see the movie. ^^
(I'm really not in any real rush to see it; like every good hype train it's gonna be around for a loooong while on internet searches lol)
-
Film Theorist released a great video about Zootopia today. Check it out:
-
I haven't seen it yet, but I can only imagine what he will rant on about and use science with. lol!
-
It's actually more history and science together! It's pretty deep, really makes me want to watch the movie even more.
-
I wanna see the movie badly. Any spoilers?
-
In the video? A crapton!
Like huge major spoilers.
-
Lol! I love that guy's videos. Good one.
-
Who wants to go see this movie with me? Lol.
-
I would!
-
I would show up. Get everyone from PSF there. ;) Money is no object!
-
Is this not the coolest looking book I want?!
I swear Judy has the most seductive eyes that bunny can give, lol!
On sale at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Art-Zootopia-Jessica-Julius/dp/1452122237/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1461329650&sr=8-1&keywords=the+art+of+zootopia)!
-
That is a really cool book cover!
-
It was really well done. The characters were well-played, the animation was all great eye-candy, the story was...well it's a kids' movie of course, so it's not Ingmar Bergman, but it doesn't openly insult the viewer's intelligence either. I left the theater feeling pretty satisfied by it. It's the first time I've bothered to see a movie in the theater in many years and I'm glad I did.
>furry movie
Eh, it's a movie which furries were bound to like. It wouldn't even be surprising if those making the film were aware of this given the media exposure furries have gotten, though it's a stretch to say they intended it for furries. Though apparently they quite deliberately modeled Nick on Robin Hood, which is probably the most-cited movie in anything written by furries about the fandom and its influences...and I've a feeling Zootopia's going to be included in them too, soon.

That is really nice to hear. All too often kids shows just pander to dumb bodily function jokes and butt jokes. Also often the story is just re-hashed about a million times. I am looking at money grabbing films like... Angry Birds.

Yeah, even with relatively decent movies like The Incredibles there are a lot of the same old visual gags and such which've been done to death. Zootopia's not perfect either and has a few cliche moments, they just weren't prominent enough to detract from the whole. Even the 3D was done well. just adding to the ambiance without calling attention to itself.
-
AHMAHGAD IT'S SO FRIKKIN ADORBLE!
*cough* Uh. Yeah, picked up the BD and it seems to be holding up to repeat viewings so far. This is amusing too, and SFW, but mildly spoiler-laden:
-
Ugh! I can't watch it if it's spoiler! I got the DVD coming in the mail around mid June!! I wanna click!
-
LOL! That was great and super cute.
-
That was great, thanks for sharing.
Meter maids!!!
-
@Smiles2us: It'll be better after you see the movie anyway. I just randomly checked Target last night to see when it was going to be in stock and they already had it! Pure luck on my part there. Where'd you order your copy? If it's available locally you could probably cancel your order. Target also has their own special release with extras supposedly not on the regular release (which they also carry, so look it over to make sure you're getting the one you want).
And I hate to overhype it, 'cause I find it best to go in with minimal expectations...but man are the visuals nice. So glad I caught it in the theater once anyway. Soda, Rainberry, you've seen the movie by now?
-
Oh boy! Honey trailers!
But the wifi isn't good enough to load YouTube *cries*
-
There, there, LP. :(
I hate it when the wifi's not good enough to load YouTube, too.
-
Watched it! Absolutely great XD
-

I'm getting my through snail mail via Amazon. I probably should have just went to Target or something. What was the "extras?"
-
I bought it on tuesday when it first came out. I had work in the vision center at a target that morning so it worked out perfectly.
Those deleted scenes....wow.
-
I've only watched the included dvd so far (not set up for BD yet), and it only had a thing about making the soundtrack, which was kinda interesting actually, and the music video of the Shakira song...which is mostly the same as the end of the movie. But from the back of the box:
-Zoology: The Round Tables. Judy's VA does a look at the movie's characters, environments, all that sort of stuff. I'm still somewhat amused that Judy Hopps is also Snow White.
-The Origin of an Animal Tale: Goes over what the movie's original premise was, which actually shifted a lot. I caught this one on YT before Disney found it and shut it down.
-Research: A true-Life Adventure. Stuff about animators hunting down and studying different species for the film.
-ZPD Forensic Files. Goes over the movie's easter eggs. I'll probably obsess over the film a few more times to see how many I can find on my own before watching this bit anyway.
-Deleted Characters. Self-explanatory.
-Deleted Scenes. Ditto.
-"And More." Who knows.

I could, but it already shipped. I will wait patiently. Thanks for the concern.
-
A Capella version of Try Everything
-
Thank you.
-
Such a cute bun bun! :D *Watches honest trailers*
-
Huh, cool.
-
Lol I can't escape this movie. xD Sis got it on DVD.
-
My family recently got it on DVD too.
-
Loved this movie. I was reading an article and there are already rumblings there may be a sequel. It is currently the second highest grossing original film.
-
I'm HOLDING the DVD in my hands.
-
I may just watch it online, along with Hotel Transylvania 2 and both Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs films.
-
It's spreading...it's spreading! Heh heh heh ;)
Seriously though, it's a great film and I watched it again recently. You will see me post something later today or tomorrow something that should have been done weeks ago...
-
Woohoo.
-
I wanna see what MS is talking about.
-
I think it's the story he wrote for his trade with 3P. With sick Nick. But he might surprise us.
-
Oh. That might be good.
-
I'm HOLDING the DVD in my hands.
THAT'S NOT HOW YOU WATCH DVD. TAKE IT OUT OF HANDS AND PUT IT IN PLAYER!
-
Put that DVD in the player Smiles, and let us know what you think.
-
I'm HOLDING the DVD in my hands.
THAT'S NOT HOW YOU WATCH DVD. TAKE IT OUT OF HANDS AND PUT IT IN PLAYER!
But then my cup won't fit in the cup holder :(
-
Hahaha XD
-
This movie kind of rocks.
-
I've watched this movie twice now! I really love it. Jeez. It's good and it has such heavy racial undertones.
-
I know right? There's one line that really spoke to me, and probably other immigrants who in their home countries were professionals but in the US are "nothing". It's when Judy confronts Nick after he basically tries to beat her down emotionally, where she basically says that Nick never tried to be anything more than a scam artist. First time I watched the movie I was like whoa, Judy, way to be an assuming biatch XD
-
Yes, I've dubbed that Trope "In my Country, I was A Lawyer (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WorthlessForeignDegree)". They also used it in the second Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball picture, with that little fellow Manny. Subverted with Chester V, who is also foreign-- looking strikingly like an evil Ghandi-- but has enjoyed success in his field.
-
Ah Manny. "I came here for a better life. Pretty great decision, eh?"
"I was also a comedian"
-
Actually, what's clever about it is that for one, it directly gives a reason for the characters to be anthros instead of human, and for another it allows interpretation to just about any sort of conflict over differences. This also helps keep it from coming across as proselytizing.
I like the other message in it, which the pred/prey thing seems to overshadow: Don't let fear of failure keep you from trying. A bit better encouragement than the "award for participating" thing which I hope is fading away.
-
I like the message of you don't succeed because of your flaws, you succeed in spite of them.
Which is something many Tumblerinas don't seem to understand. Overall it's just such a great movie. I dislike it when people don't want to watch it soley because it's talked about a lot. Just such petty reasons.
-
Lotsa positive stuff in there, done well. And messages aside, it's fun and full of eye candy. I'm still completely enamored with all the detail put in it, from subtle character gestures and expressions to the rich backgrounds. I rewatched Meet The Robinsons recently and it seems like claymation in comparison now.
And if people are avoiding it only because it's popular, their loss! :)

I've watched this movie twice now! I really love it. Jeez. It's good and it has such heavy racial undertones.
I know right?
Especially the part where when Judy tells Clawhauser that rabbits are allowed to use the word "cute" among themselves, but other animals can't say it. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NWordPrivileges) And her line "Sir, I'm not just some token bunny." In reality, there are height requirements for police officers (5'7", I believe, is the cutoff), but as we see in the chase scene through the mouse suburb, a smaller officer like Judy would be able to negotiate the neighborhood better and cause only minimal damage, whereas the larger animals would utterly wreck streets and buildings in a foot chase.
-
I believe it was only other bunnies could call a bunny cute. Definitely an allusion to N word privileges there. And then there's the whole tokeninity.
-
Also, the scene with Nick and Bellwether in which, only moments after meeting her, he touches and strokes her hair. The way he comments how soft it is while practically drooling comes off pretty creepy to start with, and if you know that the fox is a sheep's natural enemy, that makes it even worse. Bellwether was wisely keeping quiet... at this point, you think she's just meek and timid and afraid of the strange predator pawing her head; after you realize what she is really up to, though, you see this scene in a different light. She's like an old racist woman in close quarters with an unintentionally-offending African-American man, who must be doing everything in her power to refrain from taking a pen from her coffee cup and stabbing Nick in the throat with it.
-
Lol, and we never see Bellweather's face during all this. Nick is actually kind of funny with how giddy he is at touching a sheep's wool, "sheep never let me get this close!".
-
This is a fascinating film for all the points you guys are bringing up. It is a work of art, and that link to some of the art is drool material. Amazing.
-

It was them oat emotion he showed in the film. He was so happy.
-
Yeah... but I'm all, "Dude... personal space, ever hear of it?...."
I was also glad to learn Mauriche LaMarche, who has lent his voice to every other beloved character of our collective misbegotten youths, was Mr. Big. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeIdK414hG8) "A rug made from the butt of a skunk. A skunk-butt- rug". This isn't the first time he's voiced a vermin crime boss-- you may remember his turn as The Godpigeon (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZPwdGbxwNU).
Incidentally, I couldn't help but noticed there are no anthro fish or insects in Zootopia. I guess there has to be some source of meat in this brave new world of beasts, and somebody had to lose out. Look close at the city backgrounds and you'll notice a few shops advertising seafood. So... does this mean the fish feel the pain as they are being filleted? Are sentient bugs being eaten with no regard to their screams for mercy?

Actually good questions you brought up. Clearing Finding Nemo isn't in this world. Lol!
-
Haha, I think the movie people said only Mammals, birds and reptiles. Even though only mammals are shown.
But yes, fish and insects are what the predators eat. I'm guessing it's going by the "no cartoon fish" rule. *shrugs*
-
I figure reptiles and amphibians, being cold-blooded, prefer warmer climes. If Judy and Nick live in the equivalent of New York City, the frogs, toads, salamanders, alligators, crocodiles, lizards, and snakes must all be in an environment similar to Louisiana or coastal Mississippi, perhaps even Central America --plenty of jungles and swamps. Birds would logically live in treetop "high-rises" (although flightless birds might still live and work on the ground, however-- an ostrich's land speed rivals that of a horse, which would make for an ideal police officer). Sequel hook, anybody?....
-
It was them oat emotion
Wat.

3/3 for insects, 1/3 for fish. I'm sure the screams of insects are like music to hungry carnivores! Meanwhile, I"m still trying to figure out how to make hamburgers out of hay, not to mention why ponies would even think to do that in the first place.
-
I'm guessing a hayburger is like, a veggie burger? In the way it's somehow made. Or maybe it's just a bunch of straw stuffed between two buns.
-
Maybe it's ground and squeezed into little patties, like shredded wheat?
-
It does not seem likely we will get a Zootopia 2. There are so many tales to tell, which is why the exploring of an animated series is talked about here.
I learned that Big Hero 6 and Wreck it Ralph were getting animated cartoons. Had no idea. Interesting read. The author has high hopes for a Zootopia sequel, but it does not seem like Disney want's to risk it. Let a great film be great on it's own merits.
-
I finally saw this movie and I loved it so much! XD If I wasn't so busy, I'd be drawing Zootopia sneezes up the wazoo XDDD
It was good, though! I posted a couple reviews on DeviantArt and FurAffinity. :) Really empowering, charming, inspiring and and funny all the same. Definitely didn't feel like a Disney movie at first, but I'm glad it is. :) I really don't think another studio would've been able to touch it.

An entire post about bunny noses and nostrils, with some sick bunny info at the end. All about Judy Hopps.

Sick bunny info?
I don't know about you, but I think maybe you linked the wrong thing? It's just about how the characters nose wasn't designed accurately to bunny noses. Her lip is also supposed to be split down the center, but they didn't do that either.
-
Thats the link. It just mentioned at the end when a bunny's nostrils are constantly flared, it's sick.
-
Where? I didn't see that bit?
Just the "you've offended rabbits everywhere!" Then a picture of a rabbit with flared nostrils.
-
Cute. :) I like her with the nostrils. ;) Makes for good nostril flare if they ever make her sneeze.
-
You are right, I did post the wrong link. Stupid people who reblog... makes it confusing.
-
But wouldn't it be more obvious if she didn't have big nostrils and then them flaring is an obvious sign that she's sick? Like, something she can't control and is a dead giveaway she's sick. Like, you see a bunnies nose normally, then you look at how it is flared. So big. I think that would be cooler. But now I know how I'm gonna write something for her. She now has flat nose in my mind :p
So is link fixed or are ya gonna repost? I wanna see original!
-
I just had to look up if the actually finished Judy Hopps has nostrils or not.
-

The original was no different except for the line about nostrils constantly being flared means a bunny is sick. ;)
-
Lel, I believe she does. So on the topic of sick Judy...

Ah, okay.
(I think it's awesome this artist has faved our artists stuff. Like omg, that's just awesome!)

She has? Who? I like a lot of her work, some of it... meh, not so much. But I know for a fact she is super talented.
-
Well, if you go to her home page, you can see she's faved our artists SU and Zootopia art. I was just so amazed since she's seen as such a big figure of the sneeze community. Cuz she's super talented. Granted, I don't like her style for SU but eh *shrug* she has other art that's also good.
-
I'm not really big on their style. Not that it's bad, it's not my cup of tea. The art's real neato though.
If not mistaken they're pretty well known in terms of like, sneeze art, aren't they?
-
Her style is hit and miss. It has a lot of ties with 70s and 80s stuff, similar to that creepy animated Hobbit cartoon from back in the day.
-
Interesting
-
Ggoldduck is very well known. By among almost every sneeze fetishist, mostly because of their extensive reach across multiple fandoms. But yeah, not a big fan of her "normal" human noses. When the noses are exaggerated from a cartoons style it works. But when they're supposed to have normal looking noses it looks.... Not my cup of tea.
-
I still appreciate the schnaz out of her work! She's super creative and talented.
-
Yeah, she's pretty cool.
-
Yeah, she is a really great artist. She just does her own thing. I really like her character Kingsley. She's a bitch character, but pretty cute when she is sneezy.
-
It's ok, kinda cute.
-
Mildly fun at least.
-
Disney movies rendered in emojis...?
What next, emoji porn?....
Somewhere, I bet somebody's working on that project....
-
What next, emoji porn?....
Where have you been? That has been done years ago...
It was a high period in the world of texting.
-
I've been in a backwater small town that only got a Starbuck's in, like, 2005... we're about 20 years behind on all the major trends.

That's so cool! Do you guys get like "new" cars that are from 20 years ago? Like the local Ford dealer just got in the "new" 1996 Ford Explorer or something? Did you guys just have a CompUSA built and selling the latest Dell's and Gateway's? Is Bill Clinton just now getting elected according to your local paper that has the latest news from 20 years ago?
I don't know why, but I am imaging all this and creating this wild fantasy land in my head where this one town, everyone lives 20 years in the past from the modern world.
-
Well, maybe I exaggerate slightly-- but my high school was still using typewriters well into 1992... and when I was a kid you could buy a box of candy for a dime and a soda for four bits. Yes,.I'm old.....
-
A handful of those links are "forbidden" when you click them, but overall, good art by these artists.

Oh wow, thanks.
