It was really well done. The characters were well-played, the animation was all great eye-candy, the story was...well it's a kids' movie of course, so it's not Ingmar Bergman, but it doesn't openly insult the viewer's intelligence either. I left the theater feeling pretty satisfied by it. It's the first time I've bothered to see a movie in the theater in many years and I'm glad I did.
That is really nice to hear. All too often kids shows just pander to dumb bodily function jokes and butt jokes. Also often the story is just re-hashed about a million times. I am looking at money grabbing films like... Angry Birds.
