Title: Elder Scrolls Online Worth It?

As a fan of the past FULL Elder Scrolls games, is anyone aware if Elder Scrolls Online is worth playing?  I don't care if I work with other people. I would much rather explore and do things on my own.  Any feedback from players would be much appreciated.

I haven't played it but have been curious myself.  I'm not sure if you are forced to follow the storyline or can freely explore.  I am thinking it is more of the latter, but there are expansions which may force you to buy those areas?  I am not sure.

Besides doing the opening tutorial, you are free to explore the world now.

Just be careful of idiot games since it is online.

Let me know if it is a good game.  What keeps me away is being forced to play online.
