No.  I am not superstitious.  I can act like I am sometimes, but in reality I am not.

I'm not superstitious either.  Don't believe in that stuff.

Nawww.  Fun to think they might exist, but by now we'd have captured or seen one.

Oh, cryptids are highly plausible.  Discounting obvious hoaxes and mistaken sightings of rogue bears, escaped apes, or mentally-ill people roaming wooded areas, there's scores of reported sightings all over the world, and too much commonality in all the stories to be altogether discounted. It's just like most every developed nation having some sort of vampire mythos, claiming nearly 200 separate species cited, named, and cataloged. The Bhuta of India, who is said to live in charnel-houses and trash-heaps, and subsists on dung, not blood, is my personal favorite.

I'm know there are unknown animals... but cryptids I don't really buy that. They always tend to be stories or hoaxes.  Just because the event is unknown, doesn't mean it's some mysterious creature.

I like to hear stories about the unknown, but I don't actually believe them deep down inside.

Medieval Europe has tons of stories about unknown creatures and beasts I find fascinating.  England especially.

Ever hear of the Jersey Devil?  Well... it's a well known cryptic tale from New Jersey.   Wikipedia Page

I've heard of it.  There are a ton in Appalachia too.  Those hill country folk love their myths and legend.... and since many came from England, Scotland, and Ireland, I guess that makes sense considering all the myths and legends from that part of the world too.

Eastern Europe has a lot too.  Germany was the birthplace of so many including the well known "Wild Hunt" or "The Hunt."

That's true. Honestly, I had never heard of the Wild Hunt until quite recently, when I followed an online discussion on a German forum, in a topic about rituals, traditions and stuff like that. Somebody mentioned the "Raunächte" which means the twelve days between Christmas and Epiphany. I was surprised to hear that there are still people who believe you should not do laundry (and some other things, I forgot) during that period, or else the Wild Hunt would catch you, or something like that. It's not common in the region where I live, though.

Not do laundry during late December/early January?  Is that a holdover from the days where people did the wash out-of-doors and fully vulnerable to passing bandits or wild animals, y'think?  I can see it now: some rural girl gets mauled by a feral dog while out beating the family's clothes against a rock in a stream, so the ignorant backwoods peasants immediately whomp up a spooky tale about Krampus, or a vampire or goblin, whatever, to explain her fate.

Early on in America's history, the hill people were considered too difficult to tame simply because of racism against the Irish and Scotts who lived in the hills.

'Sbeen done, princess. The Hills Have Eyes, followed by two sequels, a reboot, a reboot sequel, two more thus far fictional sequels to that, and apparently a porno version.   :o

Sadly, consanguinity is a real thing, so some of those supposed "cryptids" may actually be severely inbred, isolated groups living in remote seclusion, occasionally spotted by people and mistaken for fantastic legendary monsters.
