Madoka Magica is an anime about magical girls. It takes an interesting view at the whole "magical girl" genre and gives it a nice new vibe. It's different and pretty fun, but can get dark at times. It also has an outstanding soundtrack. It's beautiful.

Short synopsis:
Madoka Kaname and Sayaka Miki are regular middle school girls with regular lives, but all that changes when they encounter Kyuubey, a cat-like magical familiar, and Homura Akemi, the new transfer student.

It is available on Netflix if you have it, if you don't, you can view it here: Sub or Dub

The Sub has episodes 4-5 combined, but th Dub has them separately.

Off to a earth shattering start!  Had the first series set up, clicked play, within 30 seconds of it starting, it stopped working!  Lol!  Restarted the page, still didn't work.  Tried another episode just to see if it worked, didn't.  Sooooo...... I will have to try again later.   Lol!
