Uh... Yeah there has. Bruh it's been out for a bit

Like three days, lol.  Ha ha.  Yeah, no, that isn't a trailer. ;D  But at least they teased an "announcement" is coming soon.  So they probably will have a trailer.

It's got the word trailer in it, Silver ;)

It would make sense for pinkie to be chubby.
Apparently this teaser wasn't approved by the head of the whole marketing thing, which is why the colors look a bit off.

And I edited it, Silver. *rolls eyes*and 3 days for news not to hit here is "a bit"

It's not a trailer.  ;D  A trailer would give you backstory of what is to come.

How did they allow it to sneak out if it wasn't approved?  This motions to me this film could be a train wreck.  :P  Like those Rugrats movies that just threw on shading and called it good.

Fandango calls everything a trailer when it isn't.  It isn't a trailer.  ;)  APD's link called it an "announcement."

It seems to me they changed the character designs a bit in the movie from the show... which worries me a bit.  They didn't just use the same generic pones.  I hope it turns out good. :)

It's a teaser.

Well yeah... They're using a completely new software. And changed the designs how? They still look like ponies. It just doesn't look as cheap.

Yeah, designs are totally changed based on Pinkie Pie.  She's fatter.  I'm trying to go through it frame by frame, but the video quality isn't that great for some reason.  It looks muddled.... :-\  Is that just my connection right now?

its because they didn't convert the files correctly. They were supposed to go from 64 to 32. And they didn't so the shading got crushed.

Considering it was a small teaser, it's probably why it was allowed through without being approved by the head.

This shows the differences pretty well.

I am just thrilled it is hand drawn animation.  First hand drawn movie since... well... Winnie the Pooh!

Uh... It's not hand drawn. It's done with a software called ToonBoom. I mean, it's not flash.

It is "hand drawn" and imported to Toon Boom.

I think it's the shading that's making things look weird.
They did base the new models off the show.

It is hand drawn and animated with ToonBoom to make it easier.  ToonBoom allows them to slap everything together and smooth it out.  So they draw the basis, and then can use ToonBoom to do the rest.  But overall, it is still a frame by frame application unlike CGI programs.
