So a question.
Does this technically count as reposting a work? Like, I don't know, I've realized this a bit over my time away. We never ask the artists if we can host their content here. And maybe it's some of the people I've met over my time taking a break from here, but most artists aren't fans of their work being reposted, much like some of our artists don't. ESPECIALLY since we're not linking back to anything at all. They find it rude and well, I don't know, it's just made me think more about what we do. Maybe we should just link from now on? Instead of reposting their work?
(And yes I know the image is linking back to a tumblr post, but it's linking to the image, not the artists page or anything that can help it be tracked back to the original poster.)

Efforts were made to find the artist's original picture, and the Tumblr (which I found) reblogged to some post by the original artist, who also uses a different name... just go with me, it's very confusing. ;D It's not like the pic if being re-uploaded. It is being reposted to it's most original state that can be found, which is totally fine. The artist has their art all over the web, so they don't mind it being shared. Here is a source (https://e621.net/post/show/1146586/anthro-canine-cat78952-clothed-clothing-disney-duo). This artist posts on art sites and reddit at random, so they have no true home.
Really it just needs to go on an artist by artist basis. If they say don't repost, then don't. The artist was given full credit here too, so I see nothing wrong.

It's still reposting. And the artists permission was not asked. It's not being reuploaded but it's still reposting. And well yeah duh it's being uploaded in its original form, don't see what that has to do with anything. And just because their stuff is all over the web doesn't mean they're okay with their art being reposted. They could be trying to not have it reposted but people are rude fucks who don't care. Ya but that's the artist choosing to post it in the places THEY want, they're controlling it.
That's the baseline. We don't know if they're okay with their art being reposted by others. This isn't right especially since we don't know how they feel about it. This is just how like y'all were all gung-ho about editing an artists piece because it was gross to you and we're going to defile their art. And when I spoke to them they were incredibly upset Blurr was going to do that, and the ONLY reason they edited it for US, was because I asked them nicely and apologized.
