I played geno run. It gives you a lot more story regarding certain flowers and their motivations. I bitched out and quit before the game could be destroyed though. Beating sans is extremely satisfying.

I can give you a quick abridged version.
The Fallen Child (Chara)'s spirit sort of latches onto Frisk when he lands in the Underground. Your decisions from that point onward determine how much influence Chara has over Frisk. In a genocide run, it is Chara in control completely (which is why your text changes to red, and he speaks in the first person rather than Frisk's second person)
Some people think Chara is actually the one narrating (The big thing is when Frisk looks in a mirror and is says "Its you!" vs "It's me") to the player what Frisk is doing, regardless of the playthrough that is being done.

I'm hoping to build up my library, so I might get the classic MacVenture games and anything under five bucks for the next while. I'm looking mostly into retro games being re-released. (some of them were already on Emuparidise so I don't need a lot of them, but the classic Shadowgate/Deja Vu 1 and 2/Uninvited adventure games were my top wishlist for some time hehe)

How can you best describe this game? Is it just pointless, fun, random shoot em up?

I haven't gotten far into the first of two parts of the games, but so far I'd say it's your basic first-person shooting game with a fun Egyptian location treasure hunt. The original, older game was released in 2001 but the HD version I got is a huge step forward in terms of look and feel. It's very immersive; this is my first time touching the Serious Sam series as a whole so I don't know how the older version looked, but it certainly caught my attention. There's also co-op for up to 10-16 players, I think.
It's definitely toned down from Duke Nukem, that's for sure, lol. XD Duke throws around his usual pick-up lines and catchphrases, but this one's scaled back to deliver a nice roustabout in different places around Thebes. Serious Sam doesn't say a whole lot and is pretty much kept quiet.

Oh please, you guys act like its a horrible thing to buy it. I was and still am in a relationship when I bought and played the game. It's just for fun lol. And it's not super inappropriate, I mean, you can take each girl to your room eventually and they take off their top and you get a semi lewd photo of them. You have to download something to be able to see all of the pictures they send you as NSFW.

I found a used DS dating sim for like $4 at Game Stop and got it on a lark. Whoever had it before had gotten pretty far, with the latest game save being with a girl who was already way into me and probably about to do whatever I wanted. But the game was hinting strongly that I should give her a gift of some sort. The previous owner had collected a ton of stuff in his inventory, and I started out trying to unload some of the stuff that seemed really useless, like rocks or something, I forget. She remained not fully impressed with me. Until I found I had a taser. So I started tasing her to see how long I could get away with it before she got pissed enough to leave.
10/10, would preserve my e-virginity again.

Not even being sarcastic. First ran across it back in the '80s and it's one I still keep coming back to. It's also probably the game with the longest ongoing development, seeing as how it's still maintained to this day. You can even get graphical interfaces for it, though I've always preferred the traditional ASCII interface...something about the monsters being cryptic characters makes them more ominous for me.

Special edition is free if you have the previous title DLC. It is a much nicer rendering of the older game with all the DLC built in.
Again, it's free so why wouldn't you get?

Two Earth Dragons (4 legs, no wings), A wyvern, two 'runners' (bipedal, no wings) and a traditional looking dragon. If you date them all successfully there's a true ending cause the game uses a lot of timetravel and other stuff like that.

Steam released its 2022 in review report, revealing last year's autumn sale saw 1.4 million users make a Steam purchase for the first time. Last month, the number of concurrent players on Steam crossed 32 million, out of which over 10 million were in-game at that time.
