Pinkie Pie looks like she is wearing white tights now, and Rainbow will have some serious wedgies in her new spandex pants. Sunset has totally new clothes. Hard to see Rarity and Twilight's, but they look similar. Fluttershy is similar, but a little different. Applejack looks the most similar.

So how will this show differ from the parent series? Less emphasis on magic, more high-school drama style plotlines? More modern technology like computers, cell phones, and flat-screen TVs? Will a lot of the humor revolve around the girls' dating lives? Will Ember show up as a dog, like Spike? Will human version of griffins, hippogriffs, and yaks also appear?

Judging by how much snow happened at the end, and I think Rarity herself was shivering under the snow, what you think could honestly really easily happen. I highly doubt the show would do a continuation, but if they did...magic malady could happen with their superpowers if colds happened XD

A new Choose Your Own Ending shirt showed up on the Discover Family app this morning entitled, “Wale Up Sunset.” The theme for these newest shorts is the girls are all camping at some festival. Anyway, those short has three endings, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash. The Dash one was the only one I found online and I really love the outfits she and Sunset have on.

The premise is Rarity's new leather outfit gets caught in the rain and she starts to freak. A lot of rainy wet scenes that I thought would've led to a cold. But sadly it did not. I feel Hasbro has done horribly at capitalizing on MLP and Equestria Girls.
Equestria Girls could easily be a full show on the network, but instead they have infrequent releases on apps, Youtube and in random places making it hard for younger/older fans to even find it. If you have to wonder where to find content, it's not good. It should have been a regular tv show, not a bunch of shorts or whatever it even is.

Well of course the choose your own won't be on tv. ::) But the real lack of vision for this series is that it isn't in as many households as possible. They should have made sure this saw as many eyes as possible as a true television series. Not just some shorts and a few movies. EQG should have been a tv series on tv.

I feel bad for these two new characters. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong =( The one who sneezed has an adorable short hairstyle! :D I usually love longer hairstyles, but some characters look really good with short hair, and I think this character is one of them.

To me they could have kept EQG going. It seemed pretty popular.

Of course, if this will happen in G4.5, there is a concern about their possible new appearance. «Pony Life»-like bodies doesn't seem to be large enough to draw detailed outfits, so making eye candies can be more difficult.

I never thought the Equestrian Girls characters looked all that good. They were too stretched and tall and just a generic shape, very stiff.
They could do so much better and give each character a unique shape. You want to be able to KNOW a character just by looking at their outline.

That's why I paid so much attention to their clothes (damn Alice: Madness Returns game, why I played it? ;D). If EQG's bodies look almost the same, nice detailed outfits can be used to give them some individuality. Unlike ponies, those girl's garments are important parts of them. Of course, some outfits look weird and bimbo-like, but many characters have really nice suits, especially after 2017 redraw.
And their haircut already gives them different shape (remember the «Good Vibes» title card?).

But having to rely on clothes to differentiate a character isn't good character design... same with just hair. These characters should be more distinct. Different sizes, heights, etc. Ask any semi professional cartoonist or artist and they would say how poorly made Equestria Girls character designs are... they tried to get better as the series went on.
So many of the characters are like an OC fever dream with bright rainbow colors that make people want to barf. ;)

I am certanly agreed, different body shape would be good, but if G4.5 ponies will use the same body model, I doubt than artist will not do the same to hoomans, it's a doll-selling franchise after all.
Current look of Fluttershy is definitely not making me barf. VS, RD and Trixie too.
But speaking of Post Crush members — oh, yeah.

BTW, a few days ago IDW released a three-part comic (https://www.idwpublishing.com/product/my-little-pony-equestria-girls-canterlot-high-march-radness/) featuring Canterlot High students. Maybe the story is meh, but drawing is still cute.

Well, there was not so big discussion about the EqG on this forum. A lot of people don’t very like their design (I partially agree with them :nervoussmile:, but there are some eye candies for me), and the main show is still much more popular. Although Rainbow Rocks was a real hit.
But this forum has a lot of artwork with EqG characters ;D.

Pretty true isn't it? And yeah I do agree the discussion around EQG isn't nearly as huge as the normal pony one is. But that's to be expected. It's pretty much apples and oranges for a lot of people. Personally I loved and still love EQG. Sunset Shimmer is a hilarious character to watch and not to mention great material for stories as is evident by the two I wrote for this place. XD

You can see a lot of artists REDESIGN the EQG style to a more appealing style in their eyes. Most reduced the size of their super tall legs and didn't make them all so thin, also aging them up.
Part of the reason for EQG's lesser success and discussion was it's lack of it being a regular series and no set schedule for new episodes. It was so random being an online program, sometimes a tv program, sometimes regular length, sometimes a short, sometimes a tv special. It never made much sense and should have been a full on tv show similar to MLP:FiM or any other show and follow that format in length and schedulability.

Exactly. It should have been on tv as a regular show as well. They marketed it HORRIBLY and shared it in various places horribly, making it hard for people to find the show and understand what was happening.

Sadly, the b-and-w print ruins a quite visually-interesting gag showing a man having an awful fit of temper, making it look--erhm--unfortunate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackface). :-] If the images were computer-colored to make his complexion appear yellowish-green, it'd be an interesting (and perhaps a bit disturbing) visual representation of a terrible cold, with a head full of mucus.

Anyway, EqG has so much less sneezes than main series :(.
So, we can only use our head-canons and think that all the characters clean their noses from time to time like normal people, it just remains offscreen. And these pockets on RD’s short jacket from 2017 outfit always have some handkerchief inside — this girl prefers to be always ready every time when the blue little nose starts to tickle :D.

I was funny when the episodes had their first releases in totally different countries, and the fans made the translations weeks before the original English release was made. For example, the «Mirror Magic» episode world premiere happened in Poland, and «Holidays Unwrapped» — in Ukraine.

So... back then, not everyone was happy about the official humanization of MLP:FiM, which also was one of the reasons why the third season became two times shorter (in addition to the idea to fit the series in typical 65-episode format (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SixtyFiveEpisodeCartoon)). But... Sunset Shimmer became a fairly popular character — this forum community also has her fans ;D.

It was somehow confirmed by the ugly giant boots worn by almost every character from the first movie. Luckily, the first corrections were made pretty quickly, and the first character who ditched the boots even got her personal intro video ;D.

I would have to agree. Not to make this a Silverwing fest here, but he was indeed the dominant EQG artist and still is. Even recently he's made stuff. APD had recently gained some ground with some of his best EQG content as well.

Even outside them, some people have done good work. I mean yeah, most of that stuff was done because they were paid to do it but it's still quality work if you ask me.

I appreciate all the art, but when it's unpaid, uncommissioned work, and you see it, it feels pretty special. It was made with passion. An internal decision the artist did to make something with no gain in return. That is the most special to me.

Those are Bratz dolls. But the idea is similar I guess. Very long legs, head heavy.

Oh, yes... I pick them up here and there. I often get new ones as gifts for birthdays and Christmas; others I find in real estate auctions, little out-of-the-way shops, yard sales. Why, I've even picked a few interesting pieces up out of folks' garbage--you'd be surprised what people simply throw away. Pocahontas there, for example, I found in a dumpster on Third Street, and Groot was a takeout-meal toy one of my knucklehead nephews tossed in the trash. I think they make an adorable couple--almost as cute as Teen Wolf and Eleven from Stranger Things (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCZItGkAif0).
Bratz Dolls and their Halloween cousins the Monster High crew weird me out, though. They not only look like crack baby Barbies with their bizarre proportions, but they aren't terribly original, either. Anyone remember Gravesdale High (http://Gravesdale High) with Rick Moranis and his cadre of mischievous young monsters? Probably not, but it makes for a pretty worthy footnote in animation history, failure or no.

Feh, they've been doing this kind of thing in cartoons at least since I was a kid. Been re-watching an old fav, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, couple eps a night, sort of a whole retro-eighties thing, of late... Anyway, the amount of extra clips (pre- and post-release) make me think this movie should have been significantly longer to have all the ideas implemented.
