I like the premise of this episode.
-
I didn't get to see it yet. Anyone see it?
-
Was I the only one hoping Twi or Starlight would sneeze when Twi was pulling out all those visibly dusty books?
-
I'm torn about this episode. It is probably the first episode where I felt it ended without solving anything. They didn't solve their problem, but got to hear ONE good result from their actions. Not sure what I think. Hmmm. 6/10.

I liked the premise of this episode, but feel it was done wrong in execution. I didn't actually like this episode. I think this episode will get people to choose sides of like or dislike, plus a lot of people torn down the middle.
This episode could be seen as metaphor of the who's best pony argument. I don't feel the conflict was resolved and nothing good came from all of this. They couldn't finish telling it all in 22 minutes. It just had this big climax then nothing happened after that. It's almost like they wanted to force a song to solve everything, then thought, that was silly, then didn't know what to do afterward. I hate to do this, but I didn't enjoy this episode much, and I wanted to coming into it.
3/10.

Hmmm. Sort of my dilemma with this episode too. This whole episode could have not existed and I would have been fine with it. Now it is official that their journals are available for ponies to read, and everyone will now forever view the Mane 6 differently. It sort of downgraded their status.
Didn't like what the writers for this episode were doing. It just seemed all pointless because absolutely nothing was accomplished.
We went from one of the best episodes ever to the one of the most puzzling.

I'm right down the middle of this episode. But I feel it was kind of dumb. It also showed how truly horrible ponies are in Equestria. It really isn't a pony perfect wonderland. Ponies are rude and quite frankly buttholes. They don't even listen to their authority in Twilight. Twilight showed poor leadership in this episode. Her intentions were good, but she didn't know enough about what she was getting into.
I was very meh about this episode. If someone liked it, I would love to know what they liked about it. :) 5/10.

It felt like this episode was jabbing at the fandom too... but it wasn't done well. I don't think they even knew what they were trying to write about.
-
It is very possible this was a big middle finger to the fandom too. But I think that would be too extreme to assume that.
-
It was a pointless episode. Still leaving it at 6/10.
Also how did they manage to do all that without SPIKE in it even once? ;D Lol.
-
Going to watch it now... Here goes...
-
Oh dear. Reading all these reviews, I think watching this episode will turn my brains to ashes. :o
We'll see.
-
So far it's good. About 3 mins in. ;D
Don't let others opinions mold your opinion!
-
A life lesson I've learned many years ago. No worries. ;p
-
Things are getting weird, Numbers. Getting really hectic.
-
There we go. A possible "weird episode" for season 7. •.•;
I'll watch it tomorrow.
-
I don't know if I like the episode or not. Give me some time to think about this one. To me it came off as a direct message to the fans, but I don't know if it was executed well. It was very self-referential.

Some take aways...

I got out of this episode and a critic of the whole fandom and their reactions to everything this show does. Some fans go over the top. We got it. It is a shame this episode only focused on the negatives of a large fandom, with a minor bit of positive at the end. Twilight's last line was the biggest F-U to the fandom ever... the crazy part of the fandom.
So yeah, this is was probably the most controversial episode of the series. And in the end nobody won this flame war, not the staff or the fandom.
I liked the episode and give it a 7/10.

"I wish we'd never released that journal."
"There is really nothing that can top that."
Kind of says it all about this episode and the whole show in general. Hmm.
-
Great photos, Wolf! This episode had some great expressions!
-
^ Did you see it yet, Numbers?
-
Actually, nope. Thanks for reminding me. ;D *goes to watch it*
-
Look forward to hearing from more people on this one.
I'm still so torn on it.
-
Errrrrrrrr...
...let's say the cute moments saved me from raging at the other ponies' stupidity. ^.^;
This was an accurate depiction of modern fandoms to me. The unreasonable, unkind fandoms of the New '10s. Maybe a tiny bit stereotypical, but otherwise accurate? I dunno! IT'S COMPLICATED! DX
One thing I'll give this episode, it did not make its attempt to portray the brony fandom, ambiguous. At all. I dunno if it's morally a good or a bad thing, but I figured that it might make some people feel ridiculous, and think about the things they say. But that might merely be wishful thinking. ::)
^ In case you couldn't tell, I have a hate for fans who rage at the slightest thing. :-[
This is the first episode I'm unable to tell whether it's "good" or "bad". I'M TORN! :'(
-
I haven't looked at what outside opinions are of this episode in the fandom. Can anyone gauge what the overall feel for this episode is? Do people like it or not?
-
Minor detail I noticed.
Remember this face from Starlight in "Every Little Thing She Does"?

Well, in this episode, Starlight gives us the polar opposite of that face.

XDD
-
She truly has one of the cutest faces! Wow. :D
-
Because this episode had no real outcome, I was disappointed. It was good... but some of it I did t like. The ending bugs me in how vague it is. I will give this episode a 7.
